i know the Holocaust is a more sensitive subject there than other places, but this sounds like a politician making an issue just for the sake of attention. i find the piece moving and well executed... provocative but not crossing any line

Can understand that motivation which is a good thing. Children need to be protected from some "adult" things. But I don't think that is necessary here. I think in that case it would be much better if those parents would talk to their children about what they think about that painting and if they are really scared (I doubt that). If they are really scared it is their job to talk with them and making them able to see that as art, as a picture, a drawing... Children are not that stupid. Adults make them stupid in believing they are. But as mentioned in the article, it is a very subjective thing... The politican who is mentioned in the article needs every minute of attention he can get. Your thoughts are right sɐǝpı ɟo uoıʇɐɹǝpǝɟ ! The CDU has no chances in Berlin. The major of Berlin is from SPD for the last 15years now and it will take time to change that. At least that's what I know and think, not living in Berlin but I have many friends there.

I'm not sure if children would get any context... they'd just like the pretty pictures then again, I don't have kids so what do I know

when I was staying in Berlin, I was sleeping literally right across the street from this monument... seeing it every morning certainly gave me mixed feelings. so just saying yeah, Berliners are surrounded by reminders of their history. I don't see why Borondo's piece should be singled out as "uncomfortable"

If they do, the adult/parent can offer an answer suitable to their age. OAN, GREAT murals... Really enjoy Borondo's art. Carry on...

Yeah, you're right, very young kids wouldn't look twice unless it was their favourite cartoon character stuck on a wall. I would have no problem in my kids seeing this. I think it's worse to shelter them too much when they grow up. Let them see it and let them ask the questions(I will try my best to answer, haha)
