I am not much of a concert goer, but when Prince did 25 or so concerts in one month at the Forum (Inglewood) I was fortunate to attend one... He was awesome.
Back in the 80s, I wish I had gone to see Genesis.

Back in the 80s, I wish I had gone to see Genesis. very jealous you saw Prince. He was definitely one on my list. I assume Peter Gabriel was long gone from Genesis by then? |

What are the best concerts you've ever been to? What concerts do you wish you'd seen? Pink Floyd in 1988 Grace Jones 2009 D.A.D supporting a band called The Seahags in 1997 The Specials 2009? Hole 1991? Prince 2007 Dandy Warhols 2010 at Koko, seen them lots but that was a great night. Def Leppard 1988? Waterboys 1986? Sisters of Mercy 1985? Dave Lee Roth 1988 John Grant - every time Sleaford Mods last year Every gig I've ever seen by Jim Jones Revue Worst gigs were Nirvana, Van Morrison and Motorhead at Aston Villa leisure centre in 1990 (fwiw, brilliant every other time) |

Early , Motörhead , foetus ,wiseblood , the stones , x mal ... Byrne , arto Lindsay Middle , chili peppers , Byrne , the replacements ( wild) , van Morrison , cocteaus Recent , the specials , robin Guthrie , wee jake bugg , blur , massive attack , more Van and Byrne.. Byrne and Van have always been great ( both small venues) Motörhead , get a mention for the volume ( mid 80s , Glasgow Apollo)... Stones .. Generally hit and miss , at James park , Newcastle was a cool adventure... The specials were , crisp... And tight... Sadly massive attack , we're poor IMO.. As we're blur... Liz gets a mention as she is untouchable  ( vulnerable live though) I'm sure I've missed some , music live has gone downhill alas as festivals have started to cleanup (ah the irony) ... It'll return , though, I have no doubt.... Regrets : missed the la's at the marquee... |
