Question for anyone familiar working with video files... have a file (mp4 format) but has time-code stamped across the top like so: Is that time code something that can be turned off/removed, or is it "written" onto the video itself?

No huge expert, but I would say that is embedded on the vid itself. I used to have rare movies with a similar time code, not meant for official release. Presume it's made for the editing dept.
