It seems that the norm political elite have lost touch with people's realities and views.
So these surprising results are the people saying you have completely lost touch.
I can see it continuing right across Europe regardless of who wins or loses there will be big shifts.
These are career politicians telling the working people what and how they should be thinking.......and strangely enough they have stopped listening.
Regardless of the rights and wrongs of Brexit and Trump two of the world's most established and stable political environments have both suddenly been told to GFY by the people. In both cases reading between all the crap the people wanted domestic life sorting. Imigration, jobs, healthcare, education and local services. Whether that happens for them remains to be seen but that is what they voted for.
What is remarkable is that the political establishment could not be trusted enough to deliver these simple things. In fact in pretty much both cases the political establishment said if you vote that way you are thick, racist and sexist. Which in certain cases elements are true however the overall figures show in the numbers of votes. The people voted for the non traditional politicals in both cases. It is going to be repeated in numbers whether it wins or loses big voting swings will happen
What's also funny is the supporters of the political elite and the purveyors of rights etc who should be the bastions of the system are the ones who in both cases cannot accept the democratic result. The Remainers in London in the UK and the against Trump rallies in LA & NYork with their whole you can't do that it's not what we wanted

It gives and It will give him publicity and more with media talking also of him at each word that he will pronounce ..

iu am sorta cool with this as in risk management, you dont worry about things you have no control or influence over and cannot predict, so it does no good to stress over it. yer legendary known unknowns and unknown unknowns and shit. the world is unlikley to end + trumps more belicose outbursts will fade, like tears in the rain. expect an economic boom and a crash, then the old guard who are not that much out of the picture will step back in and normal service will be resumed. and goldmans will make records profits.

remember that time those planes hit buildings in the states, and Dubya just sat their reading to a classroom full of children for 8 minutes or whatever? well picture what would happen if the president could barely even read, had a short temper, thin skin, and no respect for people of color or religions other than Christianity.... no understanding of other cultures, national security ....
A president who sees a murder and immediately wants to fry them, and never bothers asking WHY.... what drives someone to kill? what drives someone to steal? why does someone become a junkie? Who cares - fear sells

I wish you guys all the power you need to don't freak out and be a poweful but natural and normal position against this bullshit! |
