After I watched paxman on trump, I thought he's going to win this. Obama must feeling like a right tool mocking trump for years. Its going to take getting use to can't picture trump walking down Air Force one steps in Russia to meet Putin. The new world leader

Or think of Brexit and Trump as vehicles that could disrupt the accepted wisdom of the need for an established class of entitled political administrators. Not everyone who voted for these options is a racist/ bloodthirsty/ xenophobic KK Christian bigot. Its a protest where a vote was trump may not actully be a vote foe trump but is the political equivalent of shorting a blue chip security. This does not have to be a wholly bad thing- just consider the next POTUS to be a fall guy on the road to more engaged representation.

On the bright side we will have Alec Baldwin on SNL for the next 4 years... Based on Trump's previous comments regarding SNL, along with his world famous sense of humour, I fully expect Alec Baldwin to be one of the first to compete in the new series of The Hunger Games.

Unbelievable, we can only hope everything he has promised in his campaign is all lies. I so wish we had banned him from entering the UK. Now going back to bed, wake me up when it's all over.

Actually regardless of rights or wrongs in what was said in campaigns
I did predict and have a feeling this might happen
He actually could end up being a good president
1) Because he is not interested in politics 2) he does not need business money 3) he has no interest in the global political gains eg he may well focus on domestics and infrastructure 4) he will mess with all the political trade agreements that are based on politics rather than good trade.
Before flak I am not a lover of Trump but you do have to look at like UKIP why he exists. He exists because career politicians have focused on politics and their making money from interested parties rather than serving their voters and doing what the people want. The people have reacted against this in massive proportions. Eg he had little support from the Republicans but still won. This shows how pissed off in general people are regardless of the rights and wrongs of him as a candidate.

The world probably won't end while Trump is in power, but I reckon he'll rape and pillage it. The environment will be screwed.

I understand what you're saying, and I think having a non-politician/"outsider" could be a good thing for many, many reasons.... but.. remember that more than anything, the US president is more the face of the nation - a tone setter - than a policy decider... having someone who wants to ban immigrants, build a wall, take away women's rights, and who preaches anti-Muslim rhetoric is in no way a good thing, and even if I was a flag waiver (which I'm not) - I'd say these things are extremely un-American I don't have kids but if I did, I wouldn't want them looking up to this man, which makes me sadder than angry
