How are you all framing your originals? Or are you? I just have these hanging, but wondering if I should get the RAE under glass.

I leave mine plain although I do have a few that are framed. Both look great and a good simple frame can add to a piece although as I say I don't but some pieces came with them. I would not remove any that came with from the frames so I suppose I think it's a good thing and I'm a mixture of too lazy and too tight to sort the others!! So wouldn't suggest you do it unless you really really want to leeoman. / @toast. Thx for that as fo need one cheers

The 5 I have are all naked but tempted to get them tray framed but to skint at the mo and another purchase always seems to come along before I get chance to get them done!

I have a few that are behind glass, including my avatar vandal, only because I have a mischievous cat

I tend to frame, especially canvas works which cost me - can't have the risk of inadvertent damage on my mind , my insurer tends to demand it as well

How about framing OG's on paper? Looking for some cool/creative/safe ideas.

I got a piece of wood (a wooden box) which I am about to frame and put behind glass. Due to the hot weather in summer the wooden piece is not that straight anymore. Hopefully the framing will make and keep it straight.

No frames for stretched canvas or wood pieces, but I have had to frame a large unstretched Bast piece per his recommendation and a large Choe original due to lack of any framing hardware. The wood piece has no glass or plexi. Anything on paper or collages pieces I have had float mounted.

I got this one framed last summer. Its a small work of 10cm x 10 cm. I like the way it is framed and looks better when its on the wall now. Besides, I keep it dust free. Chance is likely to frame more originals.

I have a small Sandra Chevrier on wood coming from the latest show and wondering about framing. Wouldn't usually frame up an original but it's mixed media with collage so presume that needs some UV protection. But then I never see anyone else framing her originals so not sure if needed.

There a few originals that I have unframed - like the RAE pictured below - but for the most part, I frame everything. Framing not only helps protect the pieces, but it gives me the chance to be creative and contribute to the overall effect.

I'm not normally a fan of coloured spacers as they can look a big vulgar, but that Insect is excellently framed and the red makes it pop.
