Just something that as an Engineer has been bugging me for a long time....WSM has the saw blade appearing to be heading to the bench...but the teeth on the saw are the wrong way around imo....it's art..but it's screwing with my ability to see it in a correct format... Argghh anyone have the same view, or just me again? Oh, I fear it's me...

Hm not sure if it is wrong... Isn't it just a question of the spinning direction of the blade? It can move to the bank and turn around clockwise. Guess that's what an eye of a not engineer sees But maybe in real life saw blades don't turn around clockwise? I have no idea...

But the blade would be cutting as the teeth come down...not on the upward side...as per the vid posted, the cutting is on the 'downward' side...it's got my head in a quandary..

Guess I just wanted it to be right like it is

Artistic license? Reversed, it looks more like a shark fin.
Or, perhaps it is running clockwise? That would explain the debris being in the air...

It's sure to be running clockwise, but that isn't the way the saw works...it's against all that is known..in 'real' life the blade must cut on the down stroke for safety and so not to damage the piece being cut..ie, in this way the cutting surface is unsupported on the upper surface, this would rip the surface and ruin everything...it can run clockwise of course, but would need to cut on the right side as we look, the 'down' cut...shiiit..too heavy man, i've opened something I knew I would regret, and is the reason I can never own this print...OCD on an engineering front.I should have left well alone..Bugger

can we do HMV next? Surely the size of the bazooka and the distance between Nipper and the Victrola will cause some serious kickback and shrapnel flying into that poor pup's face

Ok, I'll bite: Someone must be operating the saw (if it's a handheld) and as he/she's not visible he must be under the ground. That'll explain the rotating direction and debris above the saw. Is it one of the rats? Edit: no, that was the correct answer. Banksy is right if the operator is invisible and above ground.
