Not Urban art but may be of interest.
Tim Shaw RA very kindly invited me to his studios on Saturday in Mabe a small village on the outskirts of Falmouth in Cornwall.
The studio is situated in a secluded hidden magical valley, one of those places you never knew existed until you happen upon it. I have lived in Cornwall nearly my whole life and am still discovering hidden gems.
I spent roughly 2 hours with Tim looking at his work. Paintings and particularly sculpture and thought I would share some pics.
Apologies for the poor quality of some of the pics. Iphone wasn't doing the work justice at all! I was flabbergasted and speechless at the sheer scale of some pieces and the time spent creating them. The piece in the last 4 photos "Middle World" has been worked on for the past 25 years.
Just as I was about to leave Tim kindly pulled out a copy of his book covering all his work and signed it for me. Thankyou Tim for a great morning.
