If Dave White's your thing or for anyone interested in seeing how remote Cornwall or Devon really are, why not head on down to the Drang gallery at Padstow or Salcombe? Hmmm? I'm not going to bother, but YOU could.thedranggallery.com/events/dave-white-new-worksTHE DRANG GALLERY PRESENTS – DAVE WHITE SOLO EXHIBITION ‘NEW WORKS’.
Exhibition from 1st – 23rd June 2017 in both Padstow & Salcombe Open 7 days a week 10 am – 6pm
Private View / Artist in attendance Salcombe 1st of June 2017 2 – 9pm Private View / Artist in attendance Padstow 2nd of June 2017 2 – 9pm
The Drang Gallery are proud to present a collection of new works by British contemporary artist Dave White. Running consecutively at their Padstow and Salcombe galleries, these shows will feature highly anticipated new original paintings, watercolours and exclusive editions, and will be the first time for a new Apex collection to be featured on UK soil, following a solo show in Los Angeles in 2014. His sought after diamond dust editions will feature alongside oversized watercolours and oils in White’s trademark expressive style. Presenting an array of works and subject matter, Dave White’s hopes are not only to inspire and capture the imagination of the viewer, but also stimulate our interests and support in environmental issues. With this in mind, a special charity edition piece will be released with the launch of the exhibition.

He's not really my cup of tea but I think he has some good skills. I quite the 'running' series of elephants and rhinos. Rhinos are cool

Love love love his work, I've got an elephant watercolour from around eight years back and it's still on the wall now, one of those pieces where I just can't bring myself to take it off the wall no matter what new ones come in.
Will have a look, although his new tiger print is a bit odd.
Anyway story goes, carne Griffith's painted a hummingbird piece last year, Dave got wind of it and threatened to sue him through his lawyers. also got art republic to warn carne not to bring anymore hummingbird pieces out or they would not stock his work. Bit sad as they are for the same Merseyside area and probably got the same influences.
So remember kids if you want to paint a hummingbird, please ask for uncle Dave's permission first.
