Not seen this mentioned anywhere this year and as always lots of lovely postcards are available from some great artists. This is TONIGHT in London so if your around get down there of not there is telephone sales available. Have a look through the available postcards and see which artists work you can spot 😉
About the sale
Oli postcards is back for 2017. Please put the date of Thursday 22nd June 2017 in your diaries.
As promised here are details for the sale process in 2017. Cards for this years sale are priced at £50 each.
There will be no “beat the queue” online raffle this year. To buy cards for the sale you must either be present in person at the sale on 22 June 2017 or be a telephone buyer. Details of telephone purchases are listed below.
On the night sales for cards will commence at 7pm. Prior to that we will be selling “beat the queue packs” for £20 each. There will be 30 queueing packs for sale. One per person. Each pack contains:
a) A random card from a previous year’s sale
b) A note of your position in the queue.
Just before 7 we will be asking people to assemble themselves into a queue with their queueing position cards. If you do not wish to buy a “beat the queue pack” you can of course join the queue at the back of the queue of 30 people and are welcome to buy cards then.
To enable everyone to buy something they like there will be an initial limit of 2 cards per person. However once you have bought your 2 cards you are very welcome to rejoin at the back of the queue and buy any more cards you wish. Once the queue has subsided there is no limit to the number of cards you can buy.
You will be able to take your cards away with you on the night.
If you are coming we do please ask that you email olipostcards@btinternet.com to let us know your name and the name of any +1 you want to bring. There is no entrance fee. Drinks and nibbles will be served.
If you cannot come to the event you can purchase cards on the night by telephone. Lines will open at 7.45 for telephone purchasers. If you would like to purchase by phone please let us know by emailing olipostcards@btinternet.com and we will send you all the details.
We will posting images of all the cards on this site next weekend.
About Oli Bennett
Oli Bennett was a young man killed in the 9/11 world trade centre attack.
The charity is set up in his name to provide funding and grants for young people with business ideas, many of who are from an underprivileged background. It operates in a similar way to the Prince’s Trust.
The fund has helped a wide variety of young people in the past set up businesses as wide ranging as wood recycling, sports coaching, fashion designing, jewellery making, ceramics, Car valeting, cake making etc.
