It's not down to me, but was thinking that it would probably be better to raffle the di tenners like Andy did with the silver flags. Money raised from that raffle was nearly double it probably would have raised if it was just put on the bay. Not sure how easy it is to set this up with the right charities, but was just a thought. We think you're right about this, can anyone recommend the best platform for us to use? the platform @andy used was great. www.mycharity.ie

A bit of additional Tweeting/Instagram-ing(?) from Steve Lazarides and LAZARIDES EDITIONS, with back up from all of us here to advertise it and they'll fly. Also, with the amount of traffic the auction would get, it'd be sure to be right near the top of any "Banksy" searches on eBay too. My £0.02's worth... UmBongo

We think you're right about this, can anyone recommend the best platform for us to use? the platform @andy used was great. www.mycharity.ieDifferent giving platforms charge different amounts and allow you to give to different charities and it looks like DEC Nepal unfortunately isn't registered with mycharity.ie. However, DEC Nepal does appear to be registered with mydonate.bt.com; they don't charge the charity anything and only charge a 15p transaction fee which is the best deal among the giving platforms that do allow you to give to DEC Nepal. I think if this was done on eBay it might all become a bit complicated and unwieldy.

Im still waiting on payment for 11 items as soon as those are paid for I will get the shipping details details out to the remaining contributors. If anybody has shipped their items please dont forget to email the details. I can then input these into ebay so the buyers know they have been sent out. I still have 41 items as showing to be shipped. Thankyou We have had a few more donations in and I am just deciding on the best course of action. I think what will probably happen is I will wait until the first round is over and everything has been despatched and received. I will then take a week off to clear my head and my INBOX which is full to capacity! Then start again with the new donations

If it helps and all agree LAZARIDES EDITIONS editions and delloy. You can set an amount per entry. People can donate to DEC between open and close dates. Email me their donation reciept and I will Run and build an entry list. Can run a list update for people to check on a thread anyone not on can re email me etc. once closed and a finalized list can email to Laz/del. you guys Stick the names in a hat or one of those random things and pick a winner. Think it is probably the entry build that is the pain but happy to do it and all can check it before it goes. . Note I am only doing the list build part winner etc done by Laz/Del

Just to let people know, I have had no input on this at all. Laz made the decision to offer up some great items so I think it should be down to them to make the decision on how this runs and takes place. I PMed them to thank them for the donation and didnt get a reply.
I really have enough to be getting on with with the auction. I cannot deal with this as well. Sorry guys.

delloy has put in an incredible amount of work over the last couple of weeks and I think now's the time for us to shoulder some of the burden. I think the format which @andy previously used worked very well. We could set up a giving page on mydonate.bt.com and people can include their forum name in the comments section. Each £5 (or £10?) donation equates to one raffle ticket. We can then collate a list on the forum and the good folks at LAZARIDES EDITIONS can pull a name out a hat. This all comes from LAZARIDES EDITIONS's generosity, so ultimately it's whatever they're happiest with. EDIT: Erm, sorry. I missed your post, johnnyh! But yeah, pretty much exactly what you said. Using a single giving platform might make things a bit simpler though.

The donate one @andy used was great it was only the fact that DEL are not on there that I offered if we want to stay the same. Mine just an offer to take away from Delloy and pretty sure Laz do not want to do it. Think these two give good alternatives. Either option is good. If can help in anyway happy to. Which was my main point Cheers

LAZARIDES EDITIONS I dont see how gift aid isnt applicable, all the donations made via the ebay auction are eligible for gift aid according to ebay and you get something in return by winning an item. Unless its different in some way. Edit: Can you not just get people to make a donation which covers the price of a raffle ticket and and not tell JustGiving you are doing a raffle. Just do a draw from the list of names on the JustGiving site.
