Hi all, Just such sad news to hear this today, my heart goes out to the people of Nepal after today's awful tragedy. Nepal holds a special place in my heart as it is a wonderful country and the people some of the friendliest and most welcoming I have met so far in my life! I have several Sherpa friends who I communicate with on a regular basis, I'm really hoping they are ok and haven't been affected by this personally, although I expect it will affect every single person in the country one way or another. Because of this I would like to try to run a charity auction here on the forum to help. Any donations of art no longer to make your wall or you have lost interest in would be greatly received. Post em up and let's see what this new wonderful forum can do Any suggestions on the best way to run this efficiently and smoothly to make sure all monies get to where they should go would also be greatly received Thanks for your time D Here are the links to the Auction UK Link : www.ebay.co.uk/sch/notbanksyforums/m.html?_nkw=&_armrs=1&_ipg=&_from=US Link : www.ebay.com/sch/m.html?_nkw=&_armrs=1&_ipg=&_from=&_ssn=notbanksyforums

Very sad news indeed and I hope your friends are safe and well, delloy. I'd be happy to donate this print by Alëxone called ' Pas Pied' from his 2008 solo show at Stolenspace. It's a 4-colour screenprint on 300gsm Somerset Satin Paper. Edition Of 75, signed and numbered and 56 cm x 76 cm: I think the easiest thing to do would be for the winning bidder to make a donation direct to a charity involved in Nepal earthquake relief work and to then just forward the confirmation email to delloy. I'm happy to cover postage worldwide.

Cheers Feral much appreciated. A great start And Thankyou for the kind words. I have written an email to my Sherpa buddies and hope to get a reply, although it takes 7 days for them on foot to get to the nearest computer. If I could get out there to help in any way I would. I'm currently working away from home and will be going through my flat file on my return. In the meantime I will try to look through any images on my iPad to jog my memory of what I have and put up anything here. Come on everybody let's help out these people during this terrible time. Hoping they are all fine.

I think post as many links to relevant relief and aid charities that can be found, and also if people can donate financially or by offering up items on here, either now or in the coming days, then that'd be a good start. In disasters of this kind, there are lingering problems that come weeks and even months after the initial event, so if people can't help immediately, there will still be a need for aid in the weeks ahead.

Thanks Dr.Plip I'm also trying to get this moved or stickied so it's more prominent on the forum instead of being right down at the ass end....haha.

Much appreciated @andy, mojoThankyou fed getting a lot more visits now Will wait til Wednesday/Thursday to start the auction for a few more bits to come in, then will collate them all together in one post and bidding can commence. How's that sound? Because I'm going to start the auction on Wed/Thurs doesn't mean any further donations won't be accepted after this, there is no set deadline it will run as long as it needs to.

Great gesture delloy, Nepal has a special place in my heart to. Tragic what's happened over there. I'll see if I have anything to donate to the auction. Was also planning to donate some cash so will give to same charity that the auction money is going to.
Smashing print of yours btw, like that a lot

I'd gladly donate some of my artwork, but I'm not quite sure they're the kind of thing people would pay money for.
I'll have a look through my drawers and see if I can find something interesting to donate though.

I would love to contribute in some way, unfortunately I don't have money, but hopefully I can come up with some sort of art. Can I please ask you to be very simple and clear about how this would work. I'm smart but not at all computery, and would really appreciate if someone could guide me through this.
