i love the snark in that Jonathan Jones piece. "Britain’s best-loved artwork is a Banksy. That’s proof of our stupidity"

Funny thing is I agree with probably more than 50% of what he wrote.

here's the thing. Banksy pieces are the modern day equivalent of a political cartoon (think The New Yorker), BUT, the very notion that art doesn't have to only be for intellectuals is the most powerful thing about it.

He has a thorough and understandable contempt for Paul Dacre, the troll in chief of the Daily Heil. I love this cartoon, and the brilliant Escher reference...
