The depth? Where's the progression on style? |

Isn't it a reference to the graffiti clearance on South Bank? Will they buff a Banksy?
As well as, obvs, the clear and persistent abuse of sus laws on minorities.

I like it Basquiat show at the Barbican where they're notorious for buffing It's pretty weak tho truth be told, a variant on an image he's trotted out before and won't mean much to many .. |

Are you conflating the use of sus with, well, what? Terrorism? The prevention of? I'm going to assume not, because that would be ridiculous. For overseas viewers, sus is 'stop under suspicion'. It involves stopping and searching people on the streets. It was a law that was/is used to harass and intimidate young men, particularly black and minority ethnic men, by a majority white police force. The relevance to this piece being that Basquiat is inside, his work worth millions in an area where, on the outside it would be buffed and he would be harassed... |

Yep its by #dannyminnock.
That black tape was left over from holding the stencil.
Its just gaffa tape & I discussed lifting fingerprints from it with someone.
We also considered the blue tack pieces around the other work too.
