What a hostility to our fellow art and craftsmen  I thought we were all friends here? A bit odd this statement imho...FR/JBOY or whatever name he ever used for sure spread the most hostility over at the other place the past years, getting several good members banned who took his desperate need for arguing and provoking too serious. And that while he got banned several times himself...I can't think of a more destructive member since I joined UAA in 2009...irony of it all that he's now a staff member over there. Back in the days of Stalin ( Im not a lecturer any more, so this wont be a long un), when senior members of say the army were made unpersons during the great purges of the 30's, not all were executed. A number in each tranche were sent off to the gulag and maintained in adequate health, the rest were just dumped in a shallow grave after a nagant shot to the back of the head. This ensured that if the purge had to maintained, there would always be a repository of operational knowledge in case of emergencies- these were not the Bukharins, Lenins or Kalinins- the theoreticians and intellect, but the party adminstrators, career generals and regional party heads.When things got a bit tight, say WW2 started, these people were reinstated and given new powers and they became utterly loyal to the boss. Now many of these had actually been a bit naughty in the past, often seen as corrupt or weak ( as they were not capable of true intellectual crimes, more fingers in the till type of crap) but the rehabilitation began and by fuck they were grateful. of course these people were still dispensable, their loyalty and garrilous enthusiam counted for nothing in the long run Just thought I would chuck that in for the lolz |

I would hope that the ones that get away with it do so because they are adding in a positive way to the global art world rather than just mindlessly churning out any old image for monetary gain. I've quoted the example before of Miss Bugs before that use loads of other artists as inspiration but do it in an innovative way. |

Freerange has every right to lift, borrow, pay homage, etc. to Banksy. other's have done it much better, for much less $ and for greater good. his soapbar addled imagination just isn't very clever, that's all.

Porknuckle is so obv Jboy / FR I'm beginning to actually pity him now (not enough to buy this tho'), I mean who else would try and justify crap on the basis that it's printed well, if indeed it is. One of the reason (just one of many mind) I came over here was to get away from the shit spouting tool, I propose a whip round to make it go away. |
