I know there were a few fans of Lucy Sparrow's felt-creations, so I thought I'd mention that she's got a new exhibition opening called ' Warmongery: Love is a Warm Gun’ at Unit 26, Boxpark, 2 Bethnal Green Road, London E1 6GY. The show is about ' what drives people to extreme violence' and it will feature an ' armoury where the walls are lined with an arsenal of felt guns, knives, pistols and explosives'. The exhibition runs from 12th to 17th May and there's more about the show on her website at sewyoursoul.co.uk/

I have been following Lucy's work for sometime. After the success of her last show The Corner Show I wondered what she might have up her sleeve. If you didn't go to that show it was really something and I really encourage you to see this show. I am sure it will be one not to miss. The Warmongery ‘Love is a Warm Gun’ Unit 26, BOXPARK, 2 Bethnal Green Road, London E1 6GY 12th-17th May 10am-6pm (8pm on Thursday) A little bit on the show from her website Visitors walking into The Warmongery will be entering an armoury where the walls are lined with an arsenal of felt guns, knives, pistols and explosives. Purchasers of weapons will receive a felt firearm licence while behind the counter there will be a range of biological and chemical weapons, dispensed from sweetshop jars. Shop assistants in full biohazard suits will be checking visitors to The Warmongery for traces of radiation and bacteria while the more discerning arms shopper will be able to discuss a range of bespoke felt nuclear devices with the artist. more here sewyoursoul.co.ukwww.thewarmongery.com

She's an absolute stitching machine. I don't know how she does it.
