Any thoughts on these in terms of pricing and where I should sell these to get the best price? They all have great provenance and have been further authenticated by Al Diaz who is SAMO along with JMB. Any help in getting the best venue for pricing is most appreciated!

Yes, of course. Which auction house would bring the best prices on these?

Yes, Al did a full authentication of the works and I have notarized letters from him as well as photos of him with the works. That's the best I can do. It's unfortunate that the Estate no longer authenticates works as these are as legit as they get.

Yes, of course. Which auction house would bring the best prices on these? Depends on which country you are based & which houses have a suitable auction sale in the pipeline. Maybe they would advise on pricing too. Dunno what happens if you send mails to Bonhams. Phillips, Christies etc at the same time. Best of luck though.

Thanks for your kind reply. I am in the US and in New York. I showed them to Phillips and Sothebys. Both agree that they are great works, but, the market is hot for his more mature works (of the more traditional style). These works are for an advanced collector who is truly interested in a rare and early Basquiat. Most collectors of his works want the traditional Basquiat style and have the $$$ to pay for it. People I've spoken to believe that the charcoal drawing would bring about $250k from the right collector. I'm looking for a venue where there are advanced collectors who would appreciate these pieces which were done when he was in high school. I think they are a bit on the low $ side for Phillips and Sothebys. I am speaking with Doyle, Skinner, and Swann. I might sell them privately either through a gallery or my network (which would save buyer's and seller's commissions too!).
Thanks again!

I have a friend in Nigeria who would like to transfer the money to your account. He just needs your bank account details.
Something fishy about this story, don't you think?

What's fishy about it? There is nothing fishy here. I can understand your skepticism because most people don't have a real Basquiat. These were all authenticated by Al Diaz and another member of his inner circle who took photos with the works as well as signed notarized authentications. In fact, have a look at Al Diaz's Instagram and you will find his posting about this charcoal sketch with him holding it. Other than the fact that there are many fake Basquiat's floating around, what have I said that would indicate there is something fishy here?

Just seems odd to be asking on here for advice on selling and price when you've already spoken to personal friends of the artist and 2 leading auction houses. Sounds like you know the price, but are hoping to find someone that will pay more. Sorry if that's not the case, but your posts come across like you know more than you're saying.
