they have an hour long promo on HBO from mostly Pacquio's point of view explaining how the match has been building up over the years and him training up to this fight. It was really interesting.

Saturday night is going to be fucking miserable. Last Mayweather fight we had reports of shot fired... someone knocked over a sign at a starbucks and people went crazy running and getting into fights with each other.
$100 seems cheap to watch the fight at home, I know bars that are charging $100 to watch it and your lucky to get a bar stool.
That being said, Las Vegas is a pretty magical place right now, no where on earth has this type of energy. Fun fact I live near Mayweather's neighborhood so I will see him running at like 2am when I'm coming from work or the bar, you always know its him cause he has a cadillac or bentley following close behind.
As far as the fight, Mayweather will take it in a decision. Not a huge fight fan but hopefully someone will order it at work.

I reckon if Paqi has the ability to take him in the early rounds but have a feeling that Mayweather is gonna ride the storm to beat him on points. Both amazing fighters but I'd love to see Paqi shut him up though. There's a huge buzz around this fight at our gym, definitely got people talking.
I was in LA when the last Mayweather fight was on and watched it on the street with a whole load of street drinkers on Sunset Blvd. very surreal thing. Boring fight but I'll not forget it.

I'm glad to see its getting so hyped, even if mostly for Mayweather's violent history. It at least brings attention back to the sport. Sadly, at least in the states, boxing seems to have taken a backseat to that MMA style of fighting. Most people under my age(42) seem happy to just watch guys pound one another, & probably can't name a boxer other than Tyson. No disrespect to MMA, or those that are fans, but it has always reminded me of a good ol' fashioned school yard fight, granted w/ more strength & ability. Not kissing my British brethren's ass but one of my all time favorites was Lennox Lewis. Like Ali and the other greats, he was smooth, intelligent, & knew how to move & avoid getting hit when possible. But damn was he powerful when he found an opening. And to me that's the difference in the two. Brains vs brawn. Ok, we won't count Tyson, Foreman, or Spinks in the brainy dept. May seem boring to some but I'll take a well planned fight, w/ some dancing around, any day. As for who I'm pulling for, even w/ his rumored/speculated past PED use, I'll go with Pacguiao. Have a feeling though Floyd will take this one. But really I just want to see a good fight. ?

Are there any other boxing fans on here. In the UK the actual fight is scheduled for around 4am anyone else staying up or setting their alarms to watch it. Anyone have a fight prediction they want to share. Pacman by KO in the 9th I can't wait till he knocks that gobby twit on his arse

Whilst I want manny to win, particularly reading about floyds domestic abuse history, the manny of 6 years ago would win, now I'm afraid it will be a boring floyd win kept at a distance.

Rooting for Pacquiao all the way going to be a big party here in the US celebrating cinco de mayo weekend as well, poker tournament before the fight with a Taco vender at a friends house. Should be a good party. But there is nothing like a fight night in Las Vegas like mentioned earlier its one of the best experiences you can have just being in the casinos.
Im thinking Pacquiao will get an early flash knockdown of floyd that will make floyd fight for once, should be a good fight but think Manny has to knock him down to get a decision.

I strongly think this'll be the first of a trilogy of fights. All things being equal pac should bash him up, of course Floyd has called all the important shots regarding this fight thus all things are not equal. I think Floyd will be taking multiple fight plans into the ring, holding when in trouble being one of them.
I caught Tyson on broadway show last night which filled the gap while waiting… Worth the watch as uncomfortable as it was

I've taken paceman in 6 or 7.
Pays a nice return.
That's betting with my heart. My head says the wife beater on points.

Shame it failed to ignite for me. I thought it was a pretty boring fight. both guys played it safe... probably good strategy but left me pretty disappointed, thinking I missed Scarlett Johannson on SNL for THIS?

£20 saved. Good night's sleep and checked the result on BBC Sport when I woke up. No surprise but disappointed Pacman didn't do it.

Should have been so much better. Not sure what Pacquiao and his team were thinking but the regular/real Pacquiao didn't turn up. He is capable of testing Mayweather more than he did.

I'm just glad they both settled their differences amicably and were able to walk away as friends.

It was a boxing master class from Mayweather.
May not have appeared on the surface to be the fight that punters wanted but make no mistake that was a quite brilliant performance.

Very disappointed, didn't think Manny turned up at all.
Surely his corner must have known he was losing on points and told him to step it up in later rounds.
Just went through the motions.

Got to agree with both the comments above. Mayweather gave a master class and not sure what was up with Pacquiao.
