Now we just need a elected independent adjudicator to administer it.

Not really a suggestion to improve the appearance of the forum .... more like a way of collating the proper gems within the posts. For example since I've been on here, BONGO gets first place with LIKE INTERNET HACKNEY BUT WITH LESS CRACK AND MURDER Dr PLIP cums a close second with A CHALLENGING WANK closely followed by ANDY and his HORSES SAY HELL Maybe we could have a thread called "Don't quote me" and fellow members cut and paste their suggestions whenever they arise? I think you might win yourself with cum instead of come, I nearly pissed myself laughing

Now we just need a elected independent adjudicator to administer it. Yeah.... how do you start a thread nowadays? PLEASE can an independent adjudicator administer a thread called "Don't Quote Me" this is for comedy value ONLY. Whenever a post is made that treads the fine line between general banter and pure hilarity members can cut and paste it and stick it on the "Don't Quote Me" thread. So far we got BONGO - "LIKE INTERNET HACKNEY BUT WITH LESS CRACK AND MURDER" DR PLIP - "IT'S A CHALLENGING WANK" ANDY - "HORSES SAY HELL" Thanks independent adjudicators

In addition to suggesting that you should not be able to delete previous posts (for what I hope are obvious reasons) I'd like the for sale thread to be exactly that, one without discussion. We all have opinions on what should be sold, when, prices, no prices etc etc and that's good but it generates so much heat and aggression and is unnecessary. The niceties of sale ethics can be discussed elsewhere. It would also stop the commerce element of the site becoming all engulfing, stop people having to bump for sales threads and stop those ridiculous 'Great! GLWTS' and 'I'd have it but I'm buying a pony' and 'Worth every penny' bullshit replies... The dickhead next door does it to drive page views, from a commercial POV, which is fine. However, I believe this place is being run differently. Thoughts...? Too many rules man, too many rules ...

I can put it up for a vote if people want to have a say edit: vote here notbanksyforum.com/thread/467/disable-comments-sales-threads-comment

Bollocks of course sales thread should have comments particularly if someone's selling something snide or making ridiculous claims of value

I don't mind positive comments on threads. I don't really look at them as being manipulative or in the same vein as cheer leading. I see pieces often that I genuinely enjoy and wish that I could own. In those cases, I often make a positive comment about the item in question.
As for negative comments, if it's priced poorly, it won't sell. The onus is on collectors to know the approximate value for what they are buying. If they are unsure, they can always ask the forum for insight.
I think the exception to the rule is if someone is engaging in criminal activity.

I think there might be too much of trying to look at what caused frustration on uaa and stop it here which I understand.
However, this isn't a copy, it's a different forum and people are treating it differently. I've seen no trouble in the for sale section, I've not even seen that many up for sale, there's not been one flip, and the 25 min post seems to help.
Comments above seem more relevant to uaa than here

Random question concerning the threads. Is it possible to put a Reply button at the bottom of the threads? I'm on the mobile version and if I don't want to quote the person above me to reply I have to scroll back to the top. I know I'm lazy,. Just a thought.

Was just going to post something similar and was looking for this thread... I mostly access the forum on my iPhone via Safari, my bookmark is set to the "recent post" page. I was going to ask if a reply button could be put on the post' featured on the "recent post" as well as the "quote" button - otherwise you have to go into the thread, do then do what (sic) said above to reply without quoting. My reason is the laziness too. UmBongo.

I just uploaded a screenshot to Instagram, which shows how my phone displays. http://instagram.com/p/2tZXFTlE9n I was asking for a reply button on the top right of the individual post next to/below the quote button. Does that help? Cheers, UmBongo. PS. Please note the hashtag
