I was checking out the 'add poll' feature & thought it'd be interesting (for all the sad bastards like me)to set up a poll for the UK general election on 7 May. This would seem inappropriate to include in the Art Bored, so I was wondering if we could set up a non-art related area. I am proposing a name for this area ... 'All the other gubbins'. So it strikes me that what annoyed a lot of other people on UAA was new members joining & very quickly starting a for sale thread.
What about a minimum post count. say 10 or 50 or 100 posts before sales are allowed?
At least you'de have to big up your crap before selling it!

Giving everyone 5 stars was all part of the sense of humour that this place started with, all those days ago, it was a gesture that encapsulated the 'don't give a fuck' ethos, something that other forums don't do. I'd like to see their return, and if you can chuck in some gold epaulettes with tassels and some gold rope, that'd be grand. Ta. PS - and gaddafi's hat if that's at all possible please |

As we are new tho will be difficult to do minimum posts. Let's keep things going as they are for a month then we could review. Everyone is different but I don't mind first post sales too much as long as it's not an eBay link and the price isn't taking the piss Others don't like sales full stop, so if we do a review we can get a general feeling then leave it the boss to decide from his golden throne. |

It meant if I fell on tough times and needed to apply for a job at McDees / KFC I could at least evidence previous star attainment. |
