So I found an old screen print from Paul Insect while going thru some old tubes. It's a little wrinkled in a few spots, but it's signed 1/1 on some random onion-skin-like gold paper. I can't find another one like it anywhere on the web. I've only ever bought art, never sold, so I have no idea how to find out the value of this and possibly sell it. Any advice? Thanks! very cool... I always loved his work in that time period. where did you get it from? That might help answer questions you have

I actually interviewed him for a magazine I used to run at the time, CrownDozen, and he sent it to me as a thank you. I loved the print and put it up to have it nicely framed, which I couldn't afford at the time. I'm going to have a friend help get some of the wrinkles out of it (she's a professional) and either finally frame it for myself or sell it to buy something I'm more into now, depending on it's value. But I have no idea where to even begin...

I hate to say it but his older prints don’t seem to sell as well as the post-POW prints, but having it be 1/1 will definitely get people interested if you decide to sell

What a nice print and story! I'm far away from beeing an expert of insects market, but I bet you can get some good money for it if you find the right collector. That is definetly a very nice and special one of a kind artwork you have there! But I think as well that you won't get less for it if you would wait some years. He is on a good go in the last years i think and I enjoy his output very much! Guess keeping it is what I would do. Maybe even frameing (?) it now and check out how it looks on the wall. If you document the condition before you frame it, a true collector will be happy to buy it already ready for the wall if you decide to sell it in the end. But that's me, a huge fan of paul insect thinking about that, I would love to have some deeper pockets...

I like it!
Same as all art though. Its worth as much as somebody is prepared to pay for it!

Any suggestions on how to go about selling it? Sites, brokers, galleries to contact? Just listing it on eBay doesn't seem right haha

Probably lost in translation. I can't add anything about selling it to or through a gallery, but you can try to sell it here or on the darkside. Set up a proper for sale threat with location and if you would ship etc. Price wise I think you should look for something north of 1k, but as mentioned earlier, I'm not an expert on insects value.

Right on, thanks for the help! One quick Q, what do you mean by darkside? eBay?

The art forum most of us spent their time before it's owner started banning everybody who had other opinions than him. It used to be the banksyforum, nowadays it is called urbanartassociation.
