As a relatively newbie to the world of art one of the artists that appears to be well established and seemingly respected Pure Evil really stuck out for me as someone who I just really wanted to own a piece by as I instantly loved his nightmare series. However, it did take me a fair while to finally buy a piece having waited for that 'perfect' piece to become available (1\1 Eddie Fishers nightmare) then I could not resist the gold bunny ornament. I love the sense of humour about wanting to get on the antiques roadshow.
I now see he has teamed up with the IOW festival and is painting a Jimi Hendrix, Keith Moon and a pharrel Williams and another 'yet to be decided' subject. Personally hoping there is a print release of these.
What is the consensus here on pure evil and what do you own of his?

He's a good man.
I have the Hackney Looting Team and a few other bits, but think that is his stand out piece.

Nice original post and he's a great artist and is well respected. I like his earlier works and some of the new series, I have a gold leaf AP version of hackney looter up on the wall, it's a cracking print

Charlie is a top bloke and Pure Evil as a brand/tag is indisputably genius, if a little repetitive. I bought a small print for my wife and the edition sold out so Charlie contacted me and offered me a large scale version, but at £250 more than the small version I had to decline. Charlie emailed back, saying fuck it, wish your wife a happy christmas. Here's a crappy pissed pic of the print we got for £65. Charlie is a Gent.

I like most of the drippy pieces individually, but to see them all together on his site makes me wish he stopped after a couple

Has to be said, he is a truly enjoyable bloke. Whether he is in his gallery or painting the planks around it, he is always up for a chat and has a very interesting point of view on urban art, the artists etc
Hackney Looting is truly a fantastic image and has such "street" history behind it. For me it is as good, if not better than a lot of Banksy prints. But he managed to do it once, not repeatedly...
The nightmare series are nice, but agree that enough is enough at some point. Blondie is his best one for me, but am biased as I own 2 hand finished ones that I commissioned from him.
His various collabs with Miss Bugs,, Chanoir, Royal Doulton and others are hit and miss but mostly miss for me as they don't really bring anything new to his body of work...
He really is a bit of an oddball in the whole scene

Charlie is an all round top bloke and a credit to the scene. The amount of artists he has introduced to London is testament to that. He's not to shabby with a stencil either.

What everybody already said, he is a very nice guy. I always visit his gallery when i am in london. I do have a bunnyfingers and a deconstructed nightmare. My gf wants to buy a canvas of Mel Ferrer's nightmare this summers.

He brought Dran to my attention many years ago when he brought DMV over for a show. I'll always love him for that.

I always like his old stuff, real evil stuff with a pinch of sarcasm... His latest dripping are too easy, too many and too nice for me; but I guess evil can't stay evil for life, especially once married and with kid Here are his first prints - www.pureevilclothing.com/pureprints1.html

Pure Evil aka Charlie is a pleasure to meet. Picked my Joe DiMaggio Nightmare canvas up from his gallery and spent abit too long there chatting. Planning for another canvas to hang with it. Probably the Blondie one.

It hasn't been mentioned yet but Charley does a lot of work with kids who are aspiring artists and organisies workshops and painting days. Anyone one who has young artists at home should think about going to one.
I'm sure forum member Coach has been along with 8mail.
