bejwee77 was able to arrange a Q&A with the stencil wiz Roamcouch. You know the drill - submit your questions here and in a week or so we'll send them on to the artist to answer

hello roamcouch. thank you for agreeing to the Q and A. As it happens you are an artist whom I have a burning question for!
i think that you have vast amount of talent. i do not say this to kiss your ass, but because (for me) i often feel as though your immense talent is going to waste.
why do you focus on the subject matter that you do? do you not find it a bit safe and repetitive?
can we expect any new direction in the coming months?
is there something you are trying to say in your work? is there something you would like to say through you work, or a feeling you would like to evoke that you have yet to?

Do you cut all of your own stencils? What do you think of online galleries pushing huge quantities of prints from multiple artists rather than working in a more traditional model of supporting artists to have more focus on solo shows? Have you ever watched the hit Channel 4 programme "Coach Trip"? If so where would you like to roam in that coach?

Why do you never use Japan as the obvious setting in any of your work. There are certainly hints, especially in the people within the work. I wonder, given that with various iconic beautiful backdrops (some obvious ones are Tokyo, Fuji, Kyoto) and that you yourself are Japanese, is there a reason that you have concentrated on other cities before putting your homeland to canvass/paper?

- How did you come up with your name? -Roamcoach- - Why did you let Martin Whatson tag all over your tank? - Would you like to do a limited print for the nice people of NotBanksyForum? - Which artists are of most influence to you?
Cheers!

From @letiss Do you cut all of your own stencils? Yes all by my hand.
What do you think of online galleries pushing huge quantities of prints from multiple artists rather than working in a more traditional model of supporting artists to have more focus on solo shows? Gallery should choose the support artists carefully. because too much choice is not totally cool, just to confuse artist and fan.
Have you ever watched the hit Channel 4 programme "Coach Trip"? If so where would you like to roam in that coach? Sorry,I have never seen that program.

I do not mean not draw a Japanese culture deliberately. Also there will be things in the future to draw the Japanese scene. I also have the image of Japanese culture, but it is not decided whether it when making.
