Agreed - his 'pigs might fly' show at West Bank a few years ago was good fun.

@letiss can you try adding this to the calender events tab. Be nice if that worked here & I'm having no joy with it.

'Power to the Sheeple' Mau Mau show at London Westbank Gallery, May 7th 6:30PM View this email in your browser
'Power To The Sheeple' Mau Mau Goes to the Polls with Election Day Pop Up Show Oh the General Election...the baying of MPs and party leaders, the bleating of party slogans, the shepherding of voter loyalties... you could be forgiven for thinking the whole thing's a farmyard ruckus.
One of the UK's best known satirical street artists, Mau Mau, returns to London's Westbank Gallery with an Election Day pop up exhibition. Power To The Sheeple opens with a private viewing on May 7th - the day the country goes to the polls. Taking an Animal Farm theme this 3 day show takes a cheeky swipe at the process of politics. As ever, political commentary comes with a dry sense of humour, as the gallery plays host to a cast of Mau characters on canvas and in installation.
Mau Mau is an artist who continues to walk the fine line between street and gallery. His prints for Souled out Studios, sell out within minutes. His 2012 solo show Pigs Might Fly at The London Westbank was not only Mau Mau's first UK solo show but was also voted one of London's must see street art shows by the Evening Standard.
This is the second last show ever at the London Westbank Old Bank building as you know it (don't worry we're only moving up the road.) The previous Mau Mau solo Pigs Might Fly show will remain one of the best shows to ever take place at Westbank.
Since he was last at the Westbank, Mau Mau has had three sell out exhibitions in Tokyo and in 2013 was involved with the Souled Out Studios Army Bunker installation which raised eyebrows at the Moniker Art Fair.
He continues to have an active presence on the street too and his London Olympics mural attracted the eyes of the world media, from the Huffington Post to the Himalayan Times.
Brightening up walls around the world, his work has appeared on Thai army checkpoints, London street spots, Trenchtown walls and includes a 30 foot fox on a Devon barn.
So this May 7th, cast a vote for the usual suspects, or take a leaf out of Russell Brand's book and head down to the Westbank for a night with Mau Mau...
May 7th, 6:30PM, London Westbank Gallery Please send your details to the guestlist@londonwestbank.com

As letiss said, this will be much more interesting than endless rolling election news. Why would I want to watch that, when I could go to this. The Green party could win the election...pigs might fly! Power to the Sheeple

A pensioner in cork 180's... Get in.

Really wish I was going to be in London for this. I visited London West Bank Gallery while I was on vacation in February, had some great work available with some very nice people working there.

I'll be gutted if they don't make those piggies available online. Really would like one of the riot fox canvases too.
