21 layers, that would be a nice detailed print.

In the first post, do I see the original painting in front of the table? I wonder how they use the screen print technique, by making a digital photo of the original painting? Any thoughts, by anyone? ;-)

Any thoughts, by anyone? ;-) I should imagine so. I think this print would be better without the border. I'm not so keen when the image doesn't reach the edges.

https://instagram.com/p/3Y2GfKyAxp I don't really know anything about the screenprinting process, but I'm a mixture of impressed, amazed and bemused that this image, which already seems quite dark, is still awaiting four further layers of black. It seems I've been following the creation of this print on Instagram for a couple of weeks now and the attention to detail at all levels seems excellent. I don't doubt that these four additional layers of black will improve the print – these people aren't just wasting time and ink for nothing, I'm guessing – but as a total ignoramus I'd really like to know how. Anyone?

I love Sniks work including this print but for me this would never make the wall either. I'm sure it will be a sellout.

I agree with the border issue. I would like this without the borders, it would look better for the image. I am still amazed about the original layers and the screen print layers. Very much in detail. This summer I am gonna follow a screen printing course. I would like to know the basics and just to see how that goes.
