Oh Banksy. Mm wonder what he smells like, what kind of food does he eat, what color is his hoodie. Does he eat fruits like it was a kiss. And how do I contact him to ask him to do that Pussy Power t-shirt for me Have you ever watched a hungry man eat a peach?

It was such a phenomenal show. I remember walking round in a daze of happiness. Yep, exactly how I felt. One of those things I'm always going to remember. Here's a few little details I liked and a little video of the pet shop (apologies for the poor quality):

It was such a phenomenal show. I remember walking round in a daze of happiness. Yes, it was brilliant. I was living in Bristol at the time and I spent many hours queuing just for 'one more look'. I wasn't so into the buying side then and it was just a pleasure to enjoy the spectacle.

gutted I didn't fly back to the UK for this show and its amazing how he (plus his elves) created that volume of work and no one had any idea.

Was fortunate to get into the opening night without an invite, the last day and several times in between. Don't know how many hours I queued for but it never seemed a chore.
Amazing how the show appealed to all ages and how it fitted in so well with the museum and its exhibits. Everything just seemed so right from the ice cream van reception desk to the Oxfam Shop opposite selling the stickers.
I still pop into the museum from time to time. The statue with paint pot is still in the same place. By the way the shop is down to the last of its supply of the show postcards.

Banksy is a great artist ( I know... clichés, common places, everyone knows... ) a pioneer, always copied, never equalled, which has put a lot of mess and revolutionized the world so elitist of art, of the cloistered museums ( from classical to the conceptual, passing by the Impressionists, etc... ) He put the street in the walls ( Better out than in) ... Even the dadaists - that I respect much-, had not thought about it. He has removed this obsequious criticism that surrounds the world of the arts this closed world, and opened it to the people of the streets. Thanks for that. He had to dare to do this ! he could pass then for a childish little rascal or a villain artist. He has done it with all this talent and elegance ! as a gentleman robber ! ;-)
