Really like the first two... Not so much the Che painting... It seems as if Che is blind; his face does not match the body.

Would love to know the asking on the comp canvas as well if anyone knows? Tried for years to pry one from laz pre PC. Quoted 75k which seemed like lunacy at the time. edition 4, not a huge footprint and the best part about that image to my eyes is the piece that nobody ever seems to photograph which is the right over flap. It has the banksy stencil 3 times and both the upper and lower one have a letter missing a la the message on the front. I always thought it was genius yet as admittedly nice as it is, still a pale shade of its outdoor counterpart. No idea on the pricing today but finger to the wind knowing that gallery, they want ~250k for it. They are very clearly building that collection at auction (che, security rat, barcode, checkbook vandalism) & and secondary (rude copper, hardhat, crude & hmv). Nice collection of work just the same. One thought seeing how active they've been on the auction block is a question as to why they didn't win or pursue to a higher price the mint gangsta rat from earlier this week at bonhams to complete the set of editioned gangsta's? I'd flank the green one with red and pink to the sides as opposed to the triangle but that's just me. Thanks for the photos above.

Laz must have had a vision of where the Banks's works were heading... He believed in him (collective or otherwise)... Kudos Laz! Nice one Banks!!!

Was the Comp.canvas supposed to be ed 25 but only 4 were produced or is that a variant edition? I know quite a few bits are on loan for the show and not necessarily for sale through Lionel. Agree on the gangstas and the claim to exhibit every print banksys produced was a brave one but a far cry from the truth.

I like that as the years go by, we'll get to see more and more previously squirreled away Banksy artwork. It's kinda cool that there isn't a raisiny catalogue of all his inside work. Keeps that feeling of WTF every time you see something new.

Probably because they are well aware there are more variations out there than that

Thanks for posting the pics. Does anyone know the story of the hard hat turtle?
I'm visiting Amsterdam in September, too bad this exhibit won't be there by that time.

I bet there are many amazing street works that we know nothing about as well.

Lee think the one you are talking about is one of the larger ones there does seem to be a couple of sizes of these. The larger ones are around 30 x 30inch and the smaller around half that size. @castlegalleryni. Andy as mentioned above there are diff sizes and not sure if these are diff editions. I think there are def more than 4 but not sure how many and if all from same edition as it were

>>>Was the Comp.canvas supposed to be ed 25 but only 4 were produced or is that a variant edition? <<<
I don't recall. I know i've seen them in white and silver with the banksy tag on the over flap. Then of course there is the hot pink and green versions he did in frames around the museum show. Now that i think about it and seeing johnny's post above, i think the 30 inches ones might be edition 4 and the smaller edition 25. memory is faded and just can't recall the specifics however.
>>Does anyone know the story of the hard hat turtle?<<<
The blues are an edition of 5 on wood from '09. The image first appeared in the streets in the lower 9th ward during the new orleans campaign. i believe the one that was exhibited at the museum is unique or outside the edition of 5 but not certain about that.
>>>Probably because they are well aware there are more variations out there than that <<<
Still, they are only a mint rat away in that photo from having all 4 of the standard variants. And given their obvious presence at auction, I found it curious but no matter.
