Taking the family to New York in October for a week long holiday.
My 13 year old daughter is really into her music. Loves Nirvana, Green Day, Blink 182 etc!
Wanted to ask any NYC based forum members if there are any live music venues that would let her in with me? She'd love me forever!
Oh, and some recommendations for a good Italian meal would be welcome !
We'll be based in Manhattan but happy to do a bit of exploring!
Cheers S

I'm pretty sure some of the Bowery venues (at least Rough Trade and Terminal 5) occasionally have all-ages shows.

As to Italian restaurants, if you don't mind heading to Brooklyn, al di la in Park Slope and Frankie's 457 in Carroll Gardens are two of my favorite restaurants.
When I've had out-of-town visitors, they have sometimes enjoyed going to Batali's restaurants, which are generally pretty good and have the celebrity-chef thing---particularly, Babbo, Del Posto, Esca (for seafood), Lupa, and OTTO (for pizza).

Thanks skendo1 . I'll check it out....It's a bit daunting going to NYC from a city in Scotland with a population of only 300,000....can't wait though!
