886 Geary Gallery is pleased to present “Outliners”, a solo exhibition in one of our Project Spaces at 886 Geary Gallery. The opening reception will be Saturday, July 11th, from 7-11 pm, the exhibition is free and open to the public for viewing through July 31st, 2015.
About 'Outliners' at 886 Geary Gallery:
We are excited to announce “Outliners” the artists first solo exhibition in the USA. Exhibiting a new body of work and paintings in our Project Space Gallery, Sebas Velasco allows us into his world through his paintings. Sebas Velasco operates in the in between, being part of as well as documenting the culture of Graffiti and its participants. “Outliners” references multiple viewpoints of this counter culture and a glimpse into this outsider perspective. Landscapes that operate outside of traditional subject matter yet capture a glimpse of another underworld that only the few are able to witness. “Outliners” captures the fleeting moments at the core of a graffiti artist from an authentic voice from within.
