I saw an artist (think it might of been on what do artists do all day) using a thin black stringlike tape which he painted over and later peeled off to leave the colour below. Looked a bit rubber/silicon. Any ideas what it's called? tried searching for artist tape peelable tape etc but nothing similar.
Thanks in advance.

Thanks all, think it might be the pinstriping tape although not sure that will be low tack. it's not the nashua as it says that only bonds to itself and the stuff i saw was stuck to paper/canvas.

I only know the work of Max Zorn, but that is not painted but just tape used to make the work of art
