I was down on the failed batch. Curious now after the U.S. comment. Have you had issues in the past shipping these across?

Actually patience & a nice attitude on my part got him a total refund from FedEx. They were as pleasant & apologetic as possible. Of course, after doing what he should've done(he was technically the shipper) he's about to get a reply to his email as friendly as the one he sent insulting me. Wonder if I should call him lazy & demand he split the shipping I saved him? Seriously, after this I've learned to be more attentive when sending things. And it made me more appreciative of those that do. Still, emails from a gallery implying you're stupid & don't care are no way to start your day.

Skendo1 turned me onto her(big thanks) & I follow her on IG as well. Her woven work is lovely & gets so much attention(as it rightly should), but it was her paintings that first grabbed my attention. They're really stunning & powerful. And maybe it was that spontaneity compared to the time consuming woven pcs that I loved. Regardless, I'm very slowly but surely paying on a painting I purchased prior to school & money woes. Considering emails & agreement on price came before the tough times; well I'll save details but will say she's insanely nice, a pleasure to talk to & extremely patient. She's never once rushed anything & still holding the 2 she did until I can let the Mrs decide between them. One of the types of people you wish the best for. And really interested to see how the transparent paintings she's working on now turn out.

Excellent! I would of just written red at various points until they painted a giant knob. see if they realised. He was able to accomplish a HUH? that way if my memory is correct. Love his work. And really nice guy(or lady) to boot!! His "of 50" w/ my daughter's birthdate is one of my favorites.

Just a quick request for some positive thoughts(or prayers for those that are religious) for the families of those that lost their lives in the Charleston, SC church massacre. I recently relocated after about a decade from there so it touches home. Been by that church hundreds of times. That, along with the Anthony Hill incident in Atlanta, GA(my wife taught him & he was actually the leading man in Grease-her first big high school production years ago)have been eating me up with disgust over the refusal to remove the confederate flag from our ass backwards statehouse. Been running thru several ideas & this may be the catalyst for borrowing a projector & creating my first large scale stencil.

Damn I'm clearly way overdue for a vacation from the southern US. Just realized I'm more excited by a signed postcard from Glastonbury than a Cashman original? Which, speaking of southern US, a big round of prayer(or just thoughts for my fellow non religious types) for those that lost lives, friends, & family in the Charleston, SC massacre. I lived there for a decade so it touches a bit too close to home.

Cheers Smokey ! Unfortunately none of my kids has phoned nor sent me a SMS. Divorces are terrible, it never ends... Anyway happy Father day to the other dads ! ( I think that I will sell some prints that I was keeping for them .and take a plane - I have never took a plane .. ) I love flying. Well actually I detest the flying part(gotta love Valium) but love the landing. Going someplace new & different is the joy I get from it

If anyone is still considering or wants to donate to the cause please let me know ASAP Happy bidding Cheers D I know of at least one piece that people will be going crazy for time to get your wallets open so guess it still isn't up yet?

Hope this is in the right thread. Honestly can't remember since I was interrupted mid post. Need some advice guys. May be selling my first ever piece. Not just the first piece I'd be selling but the first original I ever bought from an established artist. It's not urban art related so sure no one would be interested but I was hoping for some advice. It's acrylic on "found canvas"(thrift store painting) by Anthony Ausgang called Weekend Warrior. Easily googled if that helps w/ advice. Potentially selling it because A. School bills are piling up & B. The Mrs hates it. And in her defense I bought it w/ my daughter in mind & it goes w/ nothing else I own. Question is this... I contacted a gallery that has a nice collection of his works ranging from $900-$5000+ asking their advice on value & potential sales ideas. I was told a good selling price for that piece is between $800-$1000. Of course they offered $400 if I wanted to sell to them. Any advice guys? Is less than half normal? Any forums you guys know of that specialize in that genre? Of course the $400 would help but I'd love to make a little more to stick in the bank & reinvest in a piece or two. Thanks for any help guys!!

And on a side note, how did I end up w/ a well hung donkey avatar? Don't get me wrong, I dig it and, it's extremely fitting . Well not the long schlong part, but I have been called an ass on many occasions.
