Ha ive looked at that piece online quite few times, also the boat race piece with similar sky, i agree the contrast of the blk/white with colour in sections like this or bleeding nature pieces has great impact, i love the direct confident brushwork as well, really nice pick up Lee, thanks for sharing. I presume you are referring to this piece which is precisely why i bought the one I did as this is taken: That image was used for a phish tune on their last go around: And this image of Paco's was used as the cover artwork from that album: My musical tastes certainly influenced that buying decision and it was a fun pursuit for this painting.

I think its amazing that MrB has integrated these artists into the show and given them the exposure on a huge scale, i'm looking forward to searching for new artists, its easy to follow the masses and theres so many talented artists out there..

Just curious, but has anyone on here managed to get their portrait drawn by Nettie Wakefield? Any idea how much it costs?

I wonder why the gift shop doesn't sell the ears? Would Disney go mental, do you reckon?

ears made out of paint tin lids.
disney would look like utter twats if they got arsey over this.
Then again, if you read Carl Hiaasens Team Rodent essay, it may not be beyond their actioanable reach. But hope not.

don't know if they could do anything since it falls under parody which is protected by intellectual property laws (and least in the US. I imagine the UK would have similar rules) but then again, they're fucking crazy. remember this: www.snopes.com/disney/wdco/daycare.asp

I'm presuming that's just standard terms and conditions, I've not seen anyone asked for ID yet

I'm presuming that's just standard terms and conditions, I've not seen anyone asked for ID yet Yes, maybe they are writing that to discourage flippers or men ( or women ) booking a lot of tickets on the web, th sell them afterwards... Anyway , how to refuse the entrance to a guy who have paid 100 £ fro two tickets on ebay ? I know, on concert tickets, it's saying the same thing.. ( don't buy to a seller on the sly, or on the web etc.... ) , since decades now ! And I never shown my ID ... Well maybe times change.. ;-)

Went am & pm on Friday and Saturday am and loved it. Great to see some old friends and meet some new ones too. Thought the whole concept was incredible. From the second I entered Dismaland I was utterly entertained, firstly by the brilliance of the staff..... I initially had my smile confiscated and Friday night it took me five minutes to actually get in as security shouted instructions to look sad look disgusted look melancholy and I had to change my expression each time and hold it till they said so. Loved seeing the grim reaper dodgem, the castle was spectacular along with the police slide and disfigured Arial. Mickey Mouse eaten by a snake made me smile as did Wasted Rita's words of wisdom and Pins and Baste's Crackney puppet show. Sitting on a deckchair watching Punch beat up Judy in the sunshine was surprisingly pleasant. I even 'won' a picture of a fish finger in a plastic bag at hook a mucky duck ...... fair & square too! Never toppled the anvil with the ping pong balls although got a Shrigley meaningless rubber bracelet ....thrown on the ground by the staff for me to pick up. Jimmy Cauty is a national treasure and must have the patience of a saint The Aftermath Displacement Principal is mind blowing. Found the Museum of Cruel Objects, Guerilla Island and The Comrades Advice Bureau very enlightening. Spent my pocket money in Payday Loans 4 kids.....skint now! I found the big wheel and the refugee's boat game very uncomfortable, the big wheel cause I remembered I didn't like heights while I was on it and the refugee boat game cause human beings having to escape war risking their lives in shitty boats that are likely to sink is inhumane, unethical and frankly the worst reflection of human cruelty since the holocaust. Instead of throwing enormous amounts of cash to build barriers to keep them out perhaps our so called leaders might consider rescuing them and giving them shelter and while they're at it stop calling these people migrants they are refugee's ... there is a vast difference. ........... and I wish unicorns were real too.
Dancing under the gaze of a smug self satisfied over privileged twat resulted in a great Friday night ....... no I don't mean DJ Yoda, Peanut Butter Wolf or Breakbeat Lou they were super cool ....... and wow I actually went weak at the knee's when Mos Def appeared. He certainly satisfied my cuteness quota for this show.........sweet stakes he's most definitely a winner.
If you haven't been yet go and if you have here's a little tune to remind you.

Harsh I hooked my duck with the attendant literally pressing his cheek against mine with the occasional shoulder bump. Was f'in hilarious. He was so into throwing me off he wasn't looking at my progress and was talking when he should have been bumping. Have my mine re-inflated and hanging next to my bling chain. Priceless experience.

The apparent new rule regarding the imbecile balloons (they'll only sell them to children) will result in some hilarious situations where the power is reversed and you'll see parents pleading with their children to buy them a balloon.
