Hi, Guys. I am new here and just had a question or two. Firstly, what is it like turning up at around 6pm and hoping to get a ticket on the door? Is there a massive cue that makes me unlikely to be able to get a ticket (for me and my girlfriend). Secondly, do they definitely ID people for tickets, I know a few people hoping to get rid of tickets but I don't want to waste my money and time if it wouldn't work.
Thanks to anyone who replies! And experiences would be very helpful!

As much as I wouldn't want to support it I would be tempted to buy a ticket on the secondary market. I spent hours there and if you don't get in until late you'll miss loads. I don't think they are too worried about the names on the tickets as long as they haven't been sold to others. I hope you go, you'll have a great time.

For people who went early on in the show, here's a pic of the street sign by the queue as of Tuesday. Would love to see a time-lapse of it over the show's life. And here's a pic of the ceiling of one of the portaloos. #notintheguidebook

Thanks for posting. You should do. The first one I went in had a few cool tags of dudes I hadn't heard of and then the Sickboy sky in the second. #dontlookwithyournose Have a falafel for me when you're back there please. Miss those tasty suckers. #vegan And I believe all the food was at least vegetarian. #banksyrocks

If I can get back there, I will check every single portaloo. Like a tiny art tour.

My theory/image/fantasy about Banksy still hasn't been smashed. Funny how, I'm sure we all see 'Banksy' as a different kind of person. Now that tiny art tour would be a new, different kind of dismal with sights to amaze and maybe shock. picturesofpicturesonportaloowalls.co.uk Put a couple stickers up myself. Hope they're still there.

One was for the animals, another couple not. Did you enjoy (not the right word I know) the CRUEL bus Dr. Plip? It was the longest queue for any single 'attraction' there on Tuesday, which was great but I had a run in with a "I don't want to watch it" punter repeating "Ignorance is bless. Ignorance is bless." That upset me quite a bit but right after that there were a couple of AR stickers in one loo that refilled my hope in the world.

That upset me quite a bit but right after that there were a couple of AR stickers in one loo that refilled my hope in the world. Yes, I did actually. Out of all of the "attractions" there, the cruel bus was one of the most educational for me. I think that the bus hadn't been open for the first couple of days, so I was intrigued as to what it was for. I was already aware of some of the subjects it covered, but I still found it fascinating (and depressing). Well worth queuing for. Funny you mention the "Ignorance is bliss" person. While the queue was slowly shuffling forward, the couple in front of me read the warning sign on the bus, which said something like "..contains distressing images" and one lady turned to her friend and said "Well I'm not going in there if it's like that. I've been distressed enough this week" and they left. I was left wondering just how distressing her week had been and I felt a little like they'd wasted the opportunity to make the most of their time there. It's their life, but I thought, well you've already queued a few times, make it worthwhile. I overheard a few things while I was there that didn't impress me. One guy joking that the refugee game "should have water cannons so you can sink the immigrants" and a guy that laughed at one of the banners for "the children of Gaza". I actually got teary at that. I'm an emotional sod at the best of times, and I found that at various points, Dismaland was a bit of an emotional rollercoaster (no pun intended). I guess you could take different things from it depending on your mood or attitude? If you want to just look at art, you can. If you want to have a laugh, you can. If you want to learn, you can. If you just want to say "I went there", you can. You can do a combination of those things. And there are other things you can do there, of course. I thought Guerilla Island was great and the staff inside were very friendly and engaging.

I also enjoyed the Punch & Judy show. I don't think I will ever forget the sight of Mr Punch eating the Devil's avocado (spoiler).

Plenty of time for zombie when you're dead and I guess some people can't afford to think about things too much for fear that they may in fact live in Dismaland? Indeed Guerilla Island was great. If you go back, pick up one of these if you don't have it already : Very inspirational and only 60p. Crimethinc (who wrote it) rock and I loved that they were selling Days of War, Nights of Love there as well. That's one beautiful fucking book. Imho.

Hey guys,
finally I managed to get tickets for Thursday. Before I`m going on a long trip to get dismaled I have some questions which hopefully can be answered by somebody who was already there (which seem to be all of you).
How about photography there? Do they allow DSLR stuff? And are there any things forbidden to bring in except Disney Club membership cards?
Thanks a lot for helping!
PS: I probably have a ticket to give away for Thursday 11 am.

DSLR is fine Suit; i would imagine you can get anything in there discreetly. From memory they don't want spray canes or markers but just about everything else is fine when you get past that big welcome sign that has ~25 prohibited activities. So true these days- welcome but don't do this and don't do that, don't think of this, yeah that's prohibited too but really enjoy your stay. Stop looking at me.

Apart from clothing, posters and programs it's pot luck if they have anything else. When I went they just brought out some Ltd edition wasted rita t shirts, that soon went. Have a good one!

Pints are £4 and pizza £6/£7. You will be in the mild mild west so sample the cider. There is a wetherspoons pub near the Winter Gardens with reasonable prices.
