Bummer. How much were they? Is that the only print version of that coming out? And what's he doing at UpFest? Seems a lot of pre-prep going on. I thought it was all painting on walls... they were £200, so a really good deal,they were sold in less than an hour. I replied to the email three hours later and everything was gone... I don't know the details but if you look at the pictures on his IG, there are more of these watercolours printed so i guess a regular version will be for sale during Upfest. Only these 4 were sold by Dale, anything else will be for Upfest i guess. We'll see... |

I never got the email for the 1/1 either but saw them on facebook, knew I should of messaged Dale. I think I got one of these though notvermin, I just emailed. What colourway did you go for? although cant really see much difference from the email pics but it's there in the outline of the balloons and the balloon strings  They are going to be available at upfest in editions of 12 and an edition of 24 The editions of 24 are hand finished with charcoal for £125 and the hand finished with watercolours are gonna be £145. There are 3 separate editons of the coloured versions all editions of 12 |

notvermin same colour as me, not heard back either......yet I thought that at first but on closer inspection saw the difference. Check out the outlines on the balloons and some of the balloon strings. The writing on the Navy and Orange version is also in blue

I wonder what is behind Dales love or connection to balloons. He has used them before in his exhibitions, tied to beds and wheelchairs etc. Now with 2 balloons print releases thus far and many more images like sakyamuni graphite piece, the recent triptych at Art Antiques London and more images on his Facebook and Instagram. What happened to the Dale question and answers session? Is it still going ahead? I couldn't think of anything at the time. Can I now add the aforementioned question. |

Dales interest(?) in balloons was in the text for the Antiques Fair pdf. In short they remind him of his childhood and some pretty dark memories. When he had his breakdown balloons made him feel very bad. So it's part of the healing process. (Apologies as I am putting this v badly but that's the approximate reason)

ordered one too, orange and violet. I like the violet idea although i can't tell what's the difference from the pictures... we'll see. I had a short reply saying he'll be in touch early next week...

Missed out on the pastels by about an hour as well ! They really were a bargain at 200 quid,never mind the regular editions look very tasty. As does the large piece Dale as done for upfest in fact it looks pretty amazing
