F*cking Aussies!! I've torn up my passport! That's 11 in a row, fair play hats off and amazing defence by them. When they had 13 men I thought we'd score 3 tries but we couldn't even manage one. Plus side is I think we can push the boks close, hopefully no more injuries. Pockock injured hope nothing to serious as he is awesome although I don't think the Aussies have enough in attack to beat the AB's but they could win the tournament on defence!! At least wales have finally reached their first major football tournament in a long long time,so still smiling this morning  |

Two great games, just watched the NZ france game for the second time, they were mindblowingly good, the argies are a bit of a thorn in the side for ireland and missing some top players but I think they will do it, I hope they will. The Guiness is in the fridge!! |

Well that was an epic night. The Argies certainly deserve their place in the semi and absolutely heartbreaking for the Scots.
Must say Idid not rate them as I said previous posts but they certainly told me I was talking bollocks worse still certainly looked a slightly dodgy call as well. Terrible shame for them. So they get my apologies and so hope the ref does the same

Agree Johnny and it shows the argies did well against the AB's early on, not that the AB's had an off day. The argies will push the Aussies and may beat them. Scotland I thought were superb and unlucky at the end. If Aussies get to the final like i said before I think the AB's will blow them away again..

Really disappointing for Ireland but agree 100%, cant take anything away from Argentina, the score summed it up. Scotland did brilliant, very unlucky, southern hemisphere semis, good thing is it'll be another great weekend of rugby!!

Semi Finals If Pocock (he is that good and makes so much difference) lasts 80 mins the Aussies will win by 12 against the Argies. If he’s injured or lasts a half it will be close and they may even lose. The Boks will frustrate the AB’s but second half the AB’s will (I hope) play around them like Wales did and pile on the tries. So for me its Aussies v AB’s final.. Richie will lift the trophy then he will get a knighthood and become a Sir, retire & become prime minister of NZ and a fox sports presenter as a side line.. |

Aus - NZ will be the final for sure, but the semi's will already be smashing to watch. I enjoyed the pool games but since the quarter's it has been lots of fun.

Boks did okay, AB's gave away so many penalties? Glad the AB's won. Be great if Argentina get the upset. Pocock is fit so the Aussies to win by 8.

Wow the Aussies defence is awesome. A lot of handling errors by the argies but mainly due to great defence. Some lovely tries also.. Before the tournament I said the Ab's would beat whoever they play in the final by 20 points!! Now I think it going to be so close no room for error... Bring it on can't wait it should be a cracker..

Thoughts on who's going to win the final fella? you'd think looking at both performances it will go to the last kick off the game but I just cant get the game out of my head where the AB's put 50 on the Aussies 2 months ago, they smashed them BUT the only player the Aussies had out was Pocock (who will probably be world player of the year). He makes that much difference to a game. I will say the AB's by 8 -12... |

I've always had the Aussies as my tournament favourites and didn't see anything at the weekend that made me change my mind. I thought the Blacks were seriously rattled against a mediocre but intense South African side. It'll be a great game, I think and I suspect that Aussie will have the better of it in the back row exchanges. Been a fabulous tournament though and a final worthy of it.

Brilliant final to end a brilliant tournament all blacks played great and I am glad the Aussies made a game of it as I thought they were going to get blown away. They AB's kept the play away from pockcok and had great tactics all round. Some legends retiring from that team but they have so much depth. Japan next in 4 years, great trip that will be, I would have to score some serious brownie points with the wife to pull it off.. |
