Howard Griffin have a new print out that's handfinished, edition of 25. There are only a couple left and IMO its the best image from the show. Won't be ready till July, but this guys stuff is off the scale so get one while you can. http://instagram.com/p/1RCg6NqMCG

I agree dungle - awesome print from an awesome artist! Just a heads up to anyone that may not know, I went to the exhibition on Good Friday and believe I was talking to Howard (top lad!). There is one final print edition from this series also available now - Hat Trick Without Encouragement. (Children skipping under cube) It's also an edition of 25 and also hand finished. He said this will definitely be the final print run from series, and would make a nice round total of 100 prints (from the four editions). This will also be available around July, but they are taking pre-orders already. When Howard told me the price it was £320, but when Francesca came up she charged me £280. Sure they'll sort you one out if you e-mail / call.

I ordered the hat trick about a month ago. They told me it would available in June. Can't remember what I paid, so must check that.

Here is pictures of one of his next two prints. Like this one! Is the same size as his first print, reckon this one would go real nice next to his first print.

Thank you for highlighting this artist, he's the first in a while I've found truly interesting. particularly within the context of where they're from And what they're trying to achieve. The message is sophisticated and controversial whilst the casual viewer just sees a conundrum, this type of work is almost, almost the antithesis of work generally in this market place, for reference see the frankly basic tabby.

Title: Hat Trick Without Encouragement
I bought this one. Here is the blurb from the artist: Hat Trick Without Encouragement encapsulates the suspension of the whole Iranian experience so prevalent in Ghadyanloo's historic Perception series. At the same time, universal human themes are woven into the fabric of this work of art. Here, a sense of suspended time is created by the floating cube which menacingly casts a shadow on the children beneath. These children are unaware of their destiny and the fate which could befall them at any moment while they play jump rope together. Destiny and fate are something which we are all beholden to and often only too unaware of. Returning the viewer to contemporary Iran the dominating cube creates a sense of unease while the innocent figures below it represent the joy of what remains in distressed times. Ultimately, there remains room for the disempowered in Iran and hope for the future. The black spiral piece has a lot of interesting hidden meanings but a little too dark for my walls.

Just to let you know I touched base with Francesca yesterday re: Zero Time. Here's what she came back with...
Zero Time is Mehdi’s new painting, which he has just finished working on from his studio in Tehran. We really liked it and thought it would be a great print, so yes, we are likely to make it into a print although we have not officially started taking reservations for it…
Its details will probably be:
Dimensions: 82cm x 82cm approximately Limited edition of 25 Hand-finished by the artist? - TBC Price: £380

Title: Zero Time
Zero Time This work of art from Mehdi Ghadyanloo is about human confusion in contemporary Iran but also more widely throughout time and the world. The work examines themes of loss that exist in both the past and the future. The idea is to emphasise the one bright moment that all of us live in and how inherently unstable it can be. Zero Time is a classic Ghadyanloo work replete with geometric forms and a palpable sense of tension. The screen print will measure 82.4cm by 82.4cm and the figure balancing between the blocks will be hand finished by Ghaydanloo. The print will be in a low edition of 25 as with the other Ghadyanloo prints that the Gallery has released. The price of this print will be £380.
