I love this author , Drawer , of Bande dessinée , as good as Hergé . He is, he was a genius, the perfection : Yves Chaland , my master, my love, my mentor , died in the 80' at 30 with his daughter of 8 in a car crash on the motorway Paris / Bruxelles. His colors and his drawings, perfect. www.yveschaland.co

Hey, @pepsi, call me! Edit: I can also have the logo saying 'Insulin' if you think that would have more "mass market" appeal? Call me.

Call me. is NBF the Pepsi of art forums? interestingly, in a blind taste test, people overwhelmingly choose Pepsi. but when shown the labels, they prefer Coke. crazy how the mind (and marketing) plays tricks on your senses

It's branding and advertising isn't it. Back when I drank pop, I always preferred Pepsi over Coke, but Coke, like Disney, has managed to concrete itself into the minds of the people.
Crap like associating Coke with Santa/Christmas, sporting events, etc.
Anyway, it's all fizzy, diabetes juice.

I'd love to hear the thought process behind this. What initiated the thought, what critical analysis and process went on to bring about this image, what were you trying to say? Thanks

It's looks like the skin of the dog has come off to me, looks like a dumb dog on the skin/outside but a grizzly fucker underneath like Blair or Bush.
Either that or its a mental dog picture

So I spent 4 hours in ikea yesterday. It wasn't time entirely wasted however, as I drew a bird and a church. If anyone happens to own a wall in Shoreditch, hates Shoreditch and would like a mural painted, call me?

Big fan of the bird, you've captured the straining menace of our feathered friends. Is that some kind of knob/balls cloud/subliminal message floating above the church?

Thanks adman . I sometimes struggle with birds, but I was eating my third Kanelbullar in the cafeteria and there was this bird just staring at me through the window. With a combination of pity, disgust and loathing. It wasn't my reflection either. As for the church and its clouds, we see what we want to see? That or god is having a laugh at us? Or nature is having a laugh at us? Or I'm having a laugh at religion? Something, something, something, juxtaposition.

Or whatever they used to tell me at art school. Three Kanelbullar. Respect.

Part of my "Nudes In Front Of Charity Shops" series. Or Thrift Stores, as they're known to my North American cousins. I've drawn about 50 of these. Ideally to be published and released as a book. Ideally pop-up.
