I hope you all have a great time. But I don't want to read in the papers about some rumble in a café, between NBF and UAA members. Keep it friendly

A very sensible warning. It doesnt bear imagining what would happen if the two most notorious and feared urban art internet firms went toe to toe. For a start there'd be cardboard tubing and polystyrene packing flung everywhere ;-)

Hopefully I will be back on mainland UK by then, and hoping to drive up for the weekend, if work doesn't interfere. Looking forward to it.

I'm hoping to make it along this year. I'll ideally be staying over and watching the art develop.

Very excited about Upfest 2015. Missed it last year, but appreciated that the team needed a hard earned break. I am delighted to report that my lad 8Mail, who has painted at the last two events, and who hasn't missed an Upfest yet, has been accepted to paint again this year. Who else is going this year? Hope to meet up with se old faces and meet some new ones. c Me and the family are booked in to stay up Saturday and Sunday night. First time for us. Scarlett is very excited!!!

Are you fishing the whole weekend Slammer? Not Upfest weekend. Taking the kids there. Trying to find the time to get out today, but what with Bristol Rovers, kids football training and a kids birthday I don't hold much hope.

Europe’s largest street art festival needs your help to make Upfest 2015 the biggest and boldest to date. There's only a few of us in the core team of Upfest, managing an event which the street art community has taken to its heart and support us by painting for free each year. We already have an incredible line-up of diverse and eclectic artists joining us from around the world, but it takes a huge amount of input (and money) to stage the event each year. We now attract over 25,000 visitors across the weekend and we need your help to help pay for the infrastructure to manage this as well as helping fund additional artist materials and paint to make Upfest an even better experience for everyone. Our costs come in the form of scaffolding, cherry pickers and power access equipment, boards for the artists to paint, fencing, safety barriers to help crowd flow, staging, security, and of course, thousands of cans of spray paint. Working with the venues of North Street, Bedminster BID, Bristol University and other festival supporters, we've managed to secure £20,000 towards the festival production so far and now we need another £15,000 from our festival fans to make this festival the best yet. Pledge £50 to receive this signed print Pledge £100 to receive £125 £150

Hello lovely people of the new forum! The below post may be very similar to one posted on 'the forum that shall not be named'... However, knowing many of you lovely people have migrated from there the sentiment is the same.... For the past eight years myself and a very dedicated crew have built Europes largest and free, Urban Arts Festival. Unlike many galleries that have come and gone, we've kept going putting blood, sweet and tears into keeping the festival moving, growing and nuturing new talent, we've never taken a penny from the festival, all money raised has gone into building it for the future! So many artists have flurished alongside Upfest, the list is just to long to write down and we've managed to attract many of the worlds best to come and have a paint here in Bristol. Many of you have attended the festival and we're pretty confident that you've all enjoyed it. As the festival has grown, so have the costs. In order to still give some free materials to artists and also purchase more festival materials such as boarding we need your help! This years budget is £45k, which for a free festival is just a bit of a mountain to climb. To create the best festival experience we can... We need your help, we've launched a £15k Kick Starter Campaign and if you like what we do we're asking for you to donate anything from £5 to £150. Not only will you be helping secure our future, you'll also get some fantastic rewards that have been kindly donated by some of the festival artists, Inkie // Cosmo Sarson // Otto Schade // My Dog Sighs FULL DETAILS CAN BE FOUND HEREIf you are able to spare a few quid and donate, please add to this post, we've already hit £3,500 so just a mere £11,500 to go... Every pound will help! Thanks in advance to those that get involved, support the festival and it's 250+ artists! Even if you don't want to get one of the prints, please, please, please, spare a few quid so we can continue doing what we do best! Steve & The Upfest Crew
