Hi all,
I just joined the forum. I gained an appreciation for urban art as a child looking at graffiti as I drove through Queens to our home on Long Island. Finally caught the collector bug when I got my own office and now filling it with pieces I love. Currently have a few Stik posters up (still looking for the red one and will then display the whole set), as well as pieces from Pahnl, Keith Haring, and Banksy. And, I hope to one day add a Buff Monster print when I find the right one.
I look forward to discussing art with you all.
Chris

Welcome..... I suspect you have a spelling mistake there.....
Is it not possible to buy the Stik book with a poster inside anymore? I only ask as it seems people are always looking for one of the colours....

I love when autocorrect does that. It’s now been fixed. Thank you! The U.S. and Korean books are still plentiful but the U.K. versions (containing the red, yellow, and blue posters) are difficult to locate at a reasonable price these days, or at least in the States.

What’s a reasonable price? I have an extra UK version with the red poster. I’m in L.A.

Hi All First thing, I hope you are all safe and in good heath. New to this, came across the Not Banksy Forum on instagram thought their account. NBF have been kind enough to share a bit of whats been going on. So I thought I would let you all know about what going on in a small town New Brighton to the North/West of the Uk. New Brighton Street Art was created in 2018, by regeneration specialists Rockpoint Leisure, the paintings, which include abstract and figurative treatments are part of the company’s plans to breathe new life back into this buzzy, independent neighbourhood, using art as a catalyst. Rockpoint have commissioned works from both local and international street artists, and a number of pieces have historical content chronicling key events, cultural attractions and interesting characters from pirates to pier divers who have shaped the town over the past three centuries. All works have been funded by Rockpoint Leisure for the benefit of the community and visitors to the Quarter. We have had such artists as Ben Eine, Dotmasters, Snik, Mr Penfold, Mr Cenz, Nomad Clan, Tom Blackford, Fanakapan. We also interview every artist/artists once they have painted the mural for us I have embed a few for you all but if you would like more of the interviews you can get them on our website here www.newbrightonstreetart.com/Also if you would all be kind enough to give our Instagram page a follow we would be very great full. instagram.com/newbrightonstreetart/?hl=enBen Eine interview Dotmasters interview Also a few images of some of the murals http://instagram.com/p/B9Jnq6qjMjm http://instagram.com/p/B-HUZqSjnOV Thanks for you time Best Rob

Hey kids, I sort of frequent UAA and enjoy conversing with folks there, so I thought I should check this place out too. I’ve been making art for about 20 years now (damn that makes me feel bloody old), but I don’t have a lot of arty friends or people I know who are particularly interested in the art world, so I rely on you guys I’m also quite lazy with my art as I have a day job and way too many hobbies, so it’s always nice to get back to my artist roots by making connections with people. I’m mostly a painter these days. I like to think my style varies quite a bit from piece to piece. In general, it’s a usually a mishmash of hardcore realism with some random bits of other stuff to spice it up. I will be honest and say that I have been in sort of a personal and creative rut for the past six months or so, and I’m really just trying to get out of it and produce some new stuff. Also, I just got a salary bump with my full time job, so I’m excited to use it to add some new artists to my collection. There aren’t any artists or styles that I prefer to collect. I’m one of those people that just likes to find a piece that jumps out at me enough to pull the trigger. My goal is to move towards owning a few originals to add to my collection of prints. Never could afford them in the past or, at least, I couldn’t justify draining my savings to buy one. Look forward to chatting with you all!

Hello there... a mole rat I know told me about this place... he said there was a "nice bunch" here... is this true? Not a ton of them in the art collecting scene.... I dunno, maybe I'm getting old...
ANYFUCKINGWAY, My name is Garf, I collect way too much crap, and hoard it. Annoys the hell out of my Mrs... but my little boy thinks my "office" is funny as fuck. A treasure trove of funny pictures on the wall, and toys. He's rarely allowed in.
I paint, and used to make resin toys. Animation designer by trade. Loves fruit shortcake biscuits.
