I've regretted selling pretty much everything I've had to sell but they've all been sold to upgrade to a better piece. I am ok with it though cause I know that at some point I've been lucky enough to have owned x / y print at some point in time. I know if money was no object that I would have kept everything. I see it as part of collecting the moving on and improvement in a collection over time.

it's not urban art, but I had the opportunity to purchase multiple pieces of original artwork from my favorite movie, "Hedwig and the Angry Inch"... I only had enough $ to buy one at the time unfortunately. I would have loved to pick them all up. the movie means so much to me. Besides being a fantastic musical and movie that brings me to tears (both happy and sad) every time I see it, it was what my wife and I watched on our first date.
here's the one I picked up.. superimposed over a screen shot from the film:
After the art market took I dive a few years ago, I foolishly sold my one and only Banksy, a VLH for a little over $2000 to pay off some debt. I also sold my KAWS Red and Yellow SpongeBob for a total of $2800 soon after the wife and I purchased our home to help with bills. My two biggest regrets since I picked up this hobby.
The one that got away (1) Edition 8/25 CYW - Got it back tho' although it did cost me a £5k premium for the privilege. The one that got away (2) Blue/green Nola - stamped and signed gift print. What was I thinking at the time? it went as a part trade. I'm building up the 'front' to try and get it back.
