The wife wanted a new kitchen and I had no choice. I would love to still have this classic Beejoir. What is the painting/print that you wish you hadn't sold/swapped ?.

I'd have had to sold or swapped one to qualify for this discussion...

No real regrets with respect to sales, but I have a few "wish I had of bought that" regrets.

I remember that piece slammer when you got it - and also the day it went for the kitchen.
Best to keep looking forward and keep the past as memories.

I've regretted selling pretty much everything I've had to sell but they've all been sold to upgrade to a better piece. I am ok with it though cause I know that at some point I've been lucky enough to have owned x / y print at some point in time. I know if money was no object that I would have kept everything. I see it as part of collecting the moving on and improvement in a collection over time.

The two that got away for me are Stik Lovers and Harrington Fight club. Both were sold to pay for my wedding. Hopefully I'll get them both back one day.

I swapped it for a full set of 10 Adam Neate prints from one of his old shows. I ended up selling those prints when I was made redundant...£10k for the Neates after paying £500 for the Banksy. It's not the money though, just the knowledge that I will never have this print on the wall again. Oh well

Aza that's one of his best and that frame is awesome, not many banksy prints go well in an ornate frame.. At least you only paid 500 notes for it so still saw a return overall

it's not urban art, but I had the opportunity to purchase multiple pieces of original artwork from my favorite movie, "Hedwig and the Angry Inch"... I only had enough $ to buy one at the time unfortunately. I would have loved to pick them all up. the movie means so much to me. Besides being a fantastic musical and movie that brings me to tears (both happy and sad) every time I see it, it was what my wife and I watched on our first date. here's the one I picked up.. superimposed over a screen shot from the film:

The only thing I've sold of note is VLH. As yet, I haven't wept for it. Wait until the prices rise again.
The biggest regret of selling is that I didn't get what I wanted to replace it.
I regret what I didn't buy a lot more.

My only regret is not buying a Banksy - Morons in 2010 because I had just graduated law school and didn't have the cash to pay $1,000. Now prices have tripled and I still can't afford one.

After the art market took I dive a few years ago, I foolishly sold my one and only Banksy, a VLH for a little over $2000 to pay off some debt. I also sold my KAWS Red and Yellow SpongeBob for a total of $2800 soon after the wife and I purchased our home to help with bills. My two biggest regrets since I picked up this hobby.

The one that got away (1) Edition 8/25 CYW - Got it back tho' although it did cost me a £5k premium for the privilege. The one that got away (2) Blue/green Nola - stamped and signed gift print. What was I thinking at the time? it went as a part trade. I'm building up the 'front' to try and get it back.

I tried & failed many times to buy a banksy from POW... the closest I ever got was a strawberry doughnut for which I got refunded. still hurts now when I think back!

Weirdly enough I was going to have my drive sorted out but spent the money on an LV Child. Car is still parked in the street and I enjoy the art on the wall every day

The one my wife chucked in cardboard recycle bin before I had even opened the tube to look at it. It stings

I've had 4 Banksy's at various points and sold 3 of them - regret all of those (though the need was there at the time) but really regret the Green NBG... I loved that
