It's like a lot of you have decided you'll finally speak your minds online but with absolutely no self regulation or self awareness for anything. Whilst I'm no shining light for self censorship I really don't like what I'm seeing here, a lot of you are quite quite tiresome now that you think swearing, being rude, bragging and confrontational makes you cool I like above post best Just to add, you guys are still focusing on the past, get over yourselves and move forward FFS. its quite bizarre how a few members can change the whole forum dynamic, and no I am not talking about you....... or you.......... or even you...

Some of the older members will remember new forums starting and heading down the same road as this one seems to. I think the forum and it's members offer a lot more than to be a stick to beat the other place with.
Bit of a shame really

Bit of a shame really I think the majority of posts and threads on here have been very positive and informative. I'm not sure why a couple of negative threads would spell the end of NBF. I don't see it heading down the wrong road... just a couple of detours that we can get past I agree everyone should move on from bashing UAA and help continue to turn this place into something different and uniquely special.

It's refreshing to have another forum. I frequent both and understand the reasons for the great schism. Nonetheless, I think everyone can agree that a level of decorum and civility is preferred over a free-for-all. Personally, I could care less about the squabbles on either board, plenty of good folks on both sides of the fence.

The Internet can cope with more than one forum on a given interest. This place is fine by me, although there was one thread on something or other that I thought went way to far with mindless swearing and just general knobbish type stuff. But I'd rather that than have the UAA approach of "price check for my Eine" or "look at this new artist that has a £175 print out that's the new Dolk".

I visit both forums and this forum can survive (I really hope I does) , it already has good members and more joining daily. People will swear, people will argue.. but the thing about this forum and mods already stamped a bit of authority on that the shit threads won't be tolerated and arguments won't go on for 30 pages like on UAA. Once people see this it will grow further. Let's move on and hopefully they will come back as the only place left for them to go is EB

It does seem like the past couple of days have been pretty negative, but overall this place has been great, at least I think so. Unfortunately it seems to have all started with a certain UAA member coming here to cause trouble. We need to collectively not take the bait and ignore it...

Why are threads being removed and posts deleted?
I left next door for that very reason, surely that isn't going to start here?

Always seems strange to me that the most outspoken people are always the ones who are sensitive and flounce off the easiest.

We should continue to strive to be the bizarro UAA. Give back instead of take more. Support each other instead of criticize each other. Ignore trolls instead of feed them. Sell for cost instead of flip. And most importantly, swear like fucking sailors. I don't have a lot of friends who are "into" art. Places like this are essential for my development as an artist. There is plenty of room for multiple forums. It's a matter of finding one that makes you feel comfortable. This place, along with EB (I know... I know...) fit that bill for me. Other places used to, but not so much anymore. Big thanks to Fed and everyone else who made this forum what it is today.
