My tuppence worth is that BR needs to get over himself quite frankly.
What we have here is a great forum. If you don't like the swearing then just ignore it! Is he really offended by it or does he just like the drama of saying he's offended by it?
As someone has pointed out already, if it's not racist or homophobic etc then there's no problem. Yes some people might take it too far but just ignore them. I looked once on the Football Banter thread on the other forum and it was getting quite heated with name calling and all sorts. I just ignored it (helps I don't like football!) and moved on.
This forum has been going strong. Let's not let the former UAA's own little grey cloud BR get us all arguing.

Anyway back on topic - BR's gone. He'll be back.....again. The world won't stop turning just because he's temporarily left us.
