Even if it turns out to be untrue, it's still better than nothing* ... * It may not actually be better than nothing, strictly speaking, but at least it'll be different to nothing, which is (quite literally) something. here's what I've heard, though it's probably complete horseshit the event was supposed to be in London in October, but that info leaked out so they moved the date and location to August in WSM. but who knows? maybe they'll change it up again now that it's been posted. or maybe this one is a diversion and London is still on. basically, I have no fucking clue but have been hearing rumors for a while, though I can't say for sure which are true and which aren't, which I guess is what defines a rumor  |

Yes it's August 5th. There will be a stall on the high street selling black banksy stencils on canvas £60 each*
*note to self. call WSM council about stall pitch, order some cheap canvas's and cut some rat stencils. £60 x 50 canvas.....

OK, I'll play along and play amateur detective:
If there was going to be a Banksy show in Weston-super-Mare, in the supposed birthplace of Banksy, to celebrate the supposed 40th birthday of Banksy, than it would probably be held at the Weston-super-Mare Museum. Interestingly, the museum is now closed for renovation until April 2017. They are also in fundraising mode. Banksy returning to his supposed hometown to help revitalize its museum, seems very Banksy-like. Also, it's in line with the whole Bristol museum show.
There is a little informational meeting at the Blakehay Theatre in WSM the AM of July 30th and PM of Aug. 1. Perhaps there will be some info dropped then.
Again, I have no inside information at all. I've simply taken the rumors and created a possible scenario. It could also just be a big hoax or a JPS stunt.
Time will tell.
