Intrigue, Banksy, who'd have thought it? This is why we all still love the scene.

is this a rhetorical meandering or a temptingly placed succulent morsel to tease an answer from the in the know, yet curiously naïve, forum illuminati?

is this a rhetorical meandering or a temptingly placed succulent morsel to tease an answer from the in the know, yet curiously naïve, forum illuminati? Tumbleweed.. Truth is the ones who know for certain wont say exactly, a few will mention the basics to a few others and the snowball effect takes place, chinese whispers everyone else is just guessing. Probably best just to sit back and see what actually happens. October, off kilter show, no print release or December, artwork for sale show, first come first served, Lapland or etc etc etc

I would post up a witty and unoriginal oblique reference to a hitherto unknown .pdf , printed on aged vellum, detailing the works on offer and delivered to the select few, by forelock tugging subservient delivery boys. But I cant be fuckin' arsed. I never liked the gorilla print to be fair

It's bad, but I really don't want to see any kind of banksy release from what is being hinted at everywhere. It just diverts from the art, brings out the worst in people - and brings out the worst people - and changes the whole dynamic of an event.
One of the better days out was the willow street outdoor xmas show of some years back - lots of things going on, no prints on sale (lottery tickets) and a chance to mingle and spray the wrecked dodgems lying about the place.

Do you mean the "secret" POW Banksy PDF they send out every few months? They only send out overpriced works to people they thinks knobs on the quarterly PDF...did you get one I may have seen it. I'm won't confirm or deny. But if I did see it, the prices were slightly below market rate. Edit: POW have asked me to remove my last post. I dont think I will

I totally agree @ourosboros doubt very much there will be a print release and better that way, I honestly wouldnt care if I never saw another print release by any artist, brings out the worst in people, wish artists would go back to producing OGs, if they get too dear to buy it'll make people consider other artists they can afford, too much emphasis on prints these days.

I doubt there will ever be another general print release from Banksy/POW. 100% agree about the Willow Street event; although you had to join a long queue, there was no drama and the lottery did seem to be a fair way to release the print... Albeit London centric!

I know nothing but enjoying reading all the speculation.
Would love a gorilla print or poster. Like the Bristol connection to the street piece and the message behind it.

I liked that stall he had in NY. Way better (and memorable) than a print release, good way to beat the flippers!

Was that it?

i saw it as a way to get cheap art to people who genuinely like it (i.e usual print release). Maybe it was a piece in itself but didn't think performance art was his thing.
