Short of using a swimming pool, coloured wristband timing system, the one in, one out policy was the only way they could really do it. People with the strongest bladders will get to stay in the longest however.

www.thewestonmercury.co.uk/news/banksy_to_unveil_tropicana_show_and_mercury_readers_will_see_it_first_1_4200875Just 1,000 tickets will be available for this launch, and they are being made available exclusively to Mercury readers – and they are free. A voucher in this week’s edition of the paper can be exchanged for a ticket – in the form of a unique wristband – on a first come, first served basis from a Mercury-branded beach hut near to the Tropicana from 9am tomorrow (Friday). There are strict conditions attached, however, to ensure that these coveted bands do not end up in the hands of touts. The adhesive wristbands are non-transferable, and will be placed onto wrists at the point of exchange. This will be done on a strict basis of one person, one voucher, one wristband. Under no circumstances will additional wristbands will be handed out to take away. Crucially, people must bring ID – such as a passport or utility bill – to prove they live in North Somerset.

Amusements Win big prizes on hook-a-duck and the shooting gallery. Knock over an anvil in David Shrigley’s game of skill and cunning. Navigate the high seas with Banksy’s Mediterranean boat ride. Hook a duck for a banksy print haha Sorry didn't answer your questions earlier but didn't want to ruin it, now you know why no need to queue

If I didn't have to schedule out my vacation days 90 days in advance, I'd fly in from the US and go to this show. Dammit. So cool - and a great lineup. I think he'll have a few of his own pieces as well...time will tell - at least I'll be excited to see pictures posted from members of the board from those who can go! I had heard discussion of a print involving a dog and a cage filled with balls....not sure if that has any basis... And, I'm not sure where you are getting discussion as when I posted it here all I got was 'silly' and nothing further. But then again the not banksy forum is just that, they want no real banksy info to be released here. Hashtag: ihopeuougetyourjustrewards are you sure about that? I see 500+ posts that say otherwise

does it bug anybody else that Damien Hirst will be featured? What's it gonna be... a 50 million dollar diamond encrusted Jimminy Cricket statue? ugh. seems awfully out of place. Robert Hughes must be shaking in his grave

Not really - Hirst is Bristolian as well - he probably spent time at Tropicana. I'm interested to see what he contributes to be fair- he is more than blingy shite for the Chelsea set - as difficult as that is to see sometimes

The Disneyland theme is an interesting one - done to fucking death by everyone ever all the fucking time for fucking ever. Whether the dark side of the mirror Disney works will be down to the individual visitor. I am not sure I can manage too many artistically illiterate pastiche pieces on mickey cunting mouse any more. though

I am not sure I can manage too many artistically illiterate pastiche pieces on mickey cunting mouse any more. though I'll reserve judgement until I'm there and full of icecream, but I'm kinda thinking of the Disney park thing as more of a delivery system for the art, and not just the theme of it. But we'll see. If you're doing an art park, Disney is the obvious choice. Not much else you could do. Buttlins?

Butlins or Pontins would have been great but probabaly too british for international recognition
I am more than eager to see how it plays on the ground for me

Just watched a clip on Sky news inside the park. Didn't want to watch, but couldn't resist. It does look pretty bloody dismal. Not sure I should take the kids, I think they will be disturbed for life! Even the staff inside are trained to be miserable too. Can't wait
