I haven't seen the episode about transgender kids yet but I love Louis Theroux's shows. He's got a great knack for bring insight and understanding to the sensitive subjects that require it but also giving enough rope to the idiots of this world.
On a slightly lighter note, here's something for anyone looking forward to the next season of Game of Thrones:

louis theroux - yes i've heard about the latest - haven't manged to watch yet.
living in the uk , we only hear about what is going on very vaguely in the us.(not that it's any better than the dirge we see!)
There's a guy from the uk called james corden - a bit of a plank.. but he did the 'wrong mans' - which brought him back from obscurity.
now he's fronting .. some show in the us.... of all places.
the other day i tracked down one of the shows.. and it was actually quite funny.
check it out (the late late show with james corden..)
stick with it - i watched the whole show... tommy is a bit of a laid back sort.
it gets a bit crazy then funny all in all... quite entertaining.. and nothing to do with art.

I'm a big Louis T fan, but in recent years he's seemed a bit lost, partly as his current subjects can't be subtly ridiculed. He's at his best when he can do his condescending innocent thing such as to Paul Daniels or the Westboro church. Incidentally, I wonder if Paul Daniels and Westboro have ever been in a sentence before?

not forgetting Louis T's ...the Jimmy Saville .. program.
One of the more disturbing programs i've ever seen.. having been mildly unnerved by it at the time..
it got worse way worse as we now know.
Louis is on his own when it comes to almost his style of program, Nick Broomfield comes close is a slightly different way though.

Louis Theroux and transgender kids…. Should we be talking about this?? An interesting watch. Tricky to know what's in the best interests of the child. I'm all for an enlightened approach that can help free people from their dysphoria. It must be awful to feel like you're trapped in the wrong gender. Important not to rush things though - plenty of people argue that it may just be 'a phase'. All in all, anything to stop people having to live a miserable (or abruptly cut short) life. |

Anyone watched the new Daredevil series yet? Love the comics, hopefully this is up to standard. def want to check this out. got this in the 'to watch' queue along with the new season of House of Cards, Better Call Saul, and Bosch. there are not enough hours in the day. |

Anyone watched the new Daredevil series yet? Love the comics, hopefully this is up to standard. def want to check this out. got this in the 'to watch' queue along with the new season of House of Cards, Better Call Saul, and Bosch. there are not enough hours in the day. I've watched 8 episodes thus far, it's quite violent, sweary with carefully constructed fight scenes which is nice… I felt that it started slowly, but I guess that's essential in a long (?) series. Kudos to the guy playing the DD, working opposite Rosario Dawson and still not sneaking a peak at that beautiful, talented woman!  |

Watched "While we're young" in the cinema the other day. Great film highly recommended (saying clever things about the generation gap, artistic integrity etc) but mostly it is just very, very funny |

I guess if you've already gone to the trouble of working out and learning the martial arts, you might as well make all the comic book movies before you hit the donuts again. Weird thing is, you look at him and you don't instantly think "super hero". Anyway, with masks and capes, he might as well be in all of them. It's all CGI anyway. He might not even exist in real life. |

There's a very easy way to access the US version of NetFlix in the UK if you do a small amount of Google-ing and tinkering a few settings  |

I've got three episodes from season 7 of Sons of Anarchy to go. Not the best season plot wise or for the usual black humour but an absolute bloodbath as always. Given its the final season, I'll be surprised if anyone is left at the end...
