Stealing Van Gogh Andrew Graham-Dixon confronts the worlds of high art and seriously organised crime to uncover the true story behind the greatest art heist of the 21st century. In December 2002, two priceless and historically important paintings were stolen from the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam, in a brutal and audacious robbery by experienced, professional thieves. But what happened to the masterpieces, and what is their use to criminals who can never sell or display them on the open market? Andrew travels across Europe, moving between the worlds of high art and low crime and meeting policemen, prosecutors and art experts to uncover just how the world of violent and organised crime makes extensive use of stolen art - and how lost masterpieces like these can be successfully recovered www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b09pqx4r/stealing-van-gogh

Added to Netflix, watch “Treasures from the Wreck of the Unbelieveible”. Based on Damien Hirst’s exhibition. It’s well made.

Wild wild country - Netflix doco
About a religious group/community/cult/association who bought and built a huge town/city in Oregon in the 80's. It's fascinating and completely bonkers at the same time. The footage and story are stranger than fiction, seriously riveting viewing!

I'll definitely check it out kinda sounds like the documentary Johnny Knoxville did, The Wild and Wonderful Whites of West Virginia... if you ever want to see a lady smoke some crystal meth in the hospital, minutes after giving birth, than this is the movie for you

Another goodie. Atlanta on FX. Season two has been top notch and the patience for it to drop has been well rewarded. Brilliant show.

That BBC series 'Civilisations' is a must see in my book. It seems to cross reference a few things in the 'Art lovers guide to ..' series too. Enjoyed the little Vhils interview in the Lisbon episode & looking forward to Beirut edition that screens tonight.
