i wish blu made his work available to us collectors. though, to be fair, he does by giving us the best murals known to man (and i couldnt afford a drawing anyways)

I can't think of a visual artist at a similar level of accomplishment (whatever that means) who has seemingly refused more of a monetary reward. It's been over a decade now that every photo or stop frame video requires a drool cup and a wonder as to when/if that first one-man show will materialize.

It's been over a decade now that every photo or stop frame video requires a drool cup and a wonder as to when/if that first one-man show will materialize. I really admire the way he's trodden his own path. Aside from refusing more of a monetary reward, he seems completely disinterested in promotion and social media and just lets his street work talk for itself. It's been eight years since he last released a book and it'd be great to see a new one which brings together all the amazing work that he's done in the meantime. I think this walls with the Christ The Redeemer statue drowning in Rio's guns is one of the most powerful pieces that I've seen by any artist:

^What did that one last, a night or two before Deitch bowed to pressure or couldn't handle it and had it removed?
