Kunstrasen has a show coming up. Curious to see his new works. Lifted the info below from the Facebook page. **How can we add this event to the calendar? Do Admins and gardeners only have that access? And the calendar is a brilliant idea, keeps things organized.**May 8 - artROOM Konstanz is pleased to present the first ever gallery exhibition by German artist KUNSTRASEN. This mainly new body of work will be based on the irony and re-interpretation of art. Truly a very exciting moment for KUNSTRASEN, artROOM Konstanz and the city of Konstanz. All details will be announced soon. There will be multiple specials around the show based on the brand new original works which are for view / sale... ... and KUNSTRASEN will be here in Konstanz for one week creating murals, finishing original work and heading the gallery installation. I just dropped Phil a message with a link here, would be great to get some more artists on board, good to see carlcashman here! Excellent Andy, was reading this thread and thought must let Phil know about this place then saw your post!

So i tend to see the same 15 names posted on these lists everytime they're done, thought I'd add a new one that i haven't seen mentioned. Bordalo II is a Portuguese artist that uses rubbish in his art. Really lovely and to me, doing something different which is what I look for. More here - globalstreetart.com/bordalo-ii

dazarino that brings up an interesting point about artists career...in fact, it could be an interesting thread. Who's career would you rather have? Dolk or Whatson? Stik or Ernest Z? I guess artists ideally would love commercial success and to be respected as 'artistes' but it seems some make a choice (looking at most of GPs roster) that making some money over a 5 year span is worth more than artistic integrity. There is nothing inherently wrong with that choice, everyone is entitled to make as much money as they can doing something they love, however it leaves me (as a collector) a bit cold. Think you tend to find that the one's who come from say a more graphic designer background tend to go the rapid print route and the fine art/or real street/Graff tend to be slower/more concerned. Massive generalization I know so apologies for any offence. With you on your collector view eschiff

She's only in the first year of her undergraduate fine arts degree, but my prediction of an artist to watch for the future is Rose:

Did not know where to place this post... Gardeners, please move if required... JBoy has lost some of his love for Sandra... He has a triptych (latest one) on eBay... Is he jumping ship?

To my eyes the same can be said of the alligator, fish, spider, grasshopper, crab, bee and trash-present at the linked site. Wow

Pejac is definitely at the top of my list. I've been busy hoovering up his work. While his last release was blah, I love some of his works on paper and expect a strong print release this year.
Maya Hayuk should be interesting to watch as she crosses over from the more street market to the contemporary scene
Chris Moon should continue to grow with a show in NYC this year
Javier Calleja is another cool artist to watch, along with 1010 who recently had a sold out show in San Francisco
Banksy prices will continue to rise...just wait until he drops some major work this year

Really looking for Bumblebee to break out at his show this summer, other than that I met a really cool young artist based out of Phoenix, AZ. He took the risk to quit his job and start traveling to shows and doing art full time. His name is Augustine Tellez, he seems to still be developing what he's doing, hoping to see a few more street pieces out of him before too long. instagram.com/atellez_art/A few recent pieces from a show in Vegas, the piece on the bottom left if woodblock so cool to see a few mixed media.

Whilst not urban or street I think Greg Gandy deserves a mention. His work is incredible. Here's a little piece that I picked up last year. It's of Geary Street in San Francisco, which is the street that we stayed on for a few nights as part of our honeymoon. I bought it as a surprise for my wife. When it arrived, she said "I prefer Dran's stuff". She's an old romantic. greggandy.com/home.htmlAttachments:

I'm looking forward to seeing what some of the guys on here have up their sleeves. Not kissing ass but I'm enjoying ABC's & Fed's work more and more w/ each new piece I see. Also something about Lee Ellis' work I find mesmerizing. Prefer his darker face pieces to the more abstract Basquiat ones personally but hoping they all get even more recognition over the next year! It's deserved! A bit biased perhaps as I have a commission on hold from her, but I'm really stoked to see what Lala Abbadon's next year holds. Some of the stuff she's working on now is breathtaking. As for the major names, I'd like to see more variation & originality. Too many prints each year all looking the same. No names needed as don't want to offend collectors or fans. Even tho I'm a big fan, except for a couple of pieces, I wasn't overly impressed with Dotmasters' last show. Tho from what I've seen on Instagram I'm hoping for big things this year. And even though I said more variation, yet another I hope to nab even a small original from this summer, My Dog Sighs just needs to keep on with what he does best. Between free art Friday, Everyman, & the beautiful & delicately done eyes & bubble/droplets he can never stop & I'd be content.

Recent street artists in London whose work I dig are Skeleton Cardboard and Annamatomix whose work many of you will have seen about. Non street based I love Arne Wald from Hamburg arnewald.de/Also Mothmeister whose pic i posted in the 'recent art purchases' thread instagram.com/mothmeister/
