Fuck me whenever there's been shit going down here or on uaa it's always about money Problem here is that most art forums (including this one) are predominantly made up of lovers and collectors of art and artists trying to show their creations to the world. if you want to invest then fine, but that's what investment forums are for. An investor in art could have a happy long conversation with a wine investor and both would be happy. Understand that people need to make a living, but not sure if you're selling secondary as a pro that this is the best place to do it? If that's your job and you just want to talk about art, your love, your passion that's great, but fuck the $$$$'s eh? No one here really cares. Anyone having to buy secondary is putting money in someone else's pocket. Galleries selling new releases are great imo, but some of those buying to resell hurt the pocket of collectors, particularly the usually sort of member you get on these forums. Check out the for sale thread. Look at the prices, quite a bit at cost and everything below eBay prices. We love the same thing, we want to help each other out, that's what makes this place so cool right, that's my rant over

JJ Adams is still shit formulaic generic low quality art.

Pleeeez ....... get over yourself you sell second hand pictures. You have no idea or apparent regard for for the knowledge, experience or value fellow members on this or the other forum contribute. You simply jumped on a bandwagon for your own personal financial gain ........ you've made that perfectly clear.I think you could invest your time better by learning some manners? instead of throwing negativity around. It's very draining! Ha ha! I like the way you've done that ...... your reply makes more sense included within my original post. Do excuse me while I go polish up my manners .........It's a shame you don't have to get maybe 100 'likes' before your able to peddle your overhyped shite on here ..... innit?

With respect, if you are going to advise people about investing you should have indepth knowledge on the artist, factual evidence to support what you're saying, an art dealer I know told me he was going to be big isnt good enough, neither is a single auction result, nor is a link to the artists website with a statement about him. Its naive and unethical to advise people something is going to be a good investment without facts to back it up, it is how the advise comes across. The evidence doesnt exist because he has no secondary market history to talk about.

I will now refrain from ever reading or replying to any of your posts! Bye Bye

Its naive and unethical to advise people something is going to be a good investment without facts to back it up, it is how the advise comes across. The evidence doesnt exist because he has no secondary market history to talk about. I think the fact he has sold out and there is high demand speaks for its self as to how well he is doing and if someone who has been in the industry 15 years advises me to buy something then I trust that persons judgement and I am glad that I did. I thought you are all clued up about the art world I didn't realise I had to spell every thing out for you. I seriously am finding this tedious constantly having to defend my every word.
I will leave you to speak in a derogatory way about who ever you wish but I want no part of it. I will have to go a long way before I come across more negative and objectionable people than on these forums. Narrow minded opinionated gallery haters. I will stick to the real world where people behave with manners and have open views. Strangely enough I NEVER have a problem dealing with people out side of a forum.
Now please excuse me as I have more of my second hand crap pictures to sell as Mojo eloquently put it. I will be sure to pass on your regards to the artists. Art lover?!?
Enjoy your afternoon.
@charliebrown, I think it's more a case of knowing your audience. The audience for this kind of art - or, the pieces you invited opinions on yesterday - is not here. No amount of investment talk is going to change that. Best of luck UmBongo.

Some of these posts are so wrong on so many levels, I am still laughing from such a good read You asked for it, we will continue to have good opinions based on bad taste, or vice versa, and somewhere in between This being said, quite a few articles about JJ Adams mention his affiliation to Wishbone Publishing. Have to admin I have never heard of them Anyone to explain who / what they are as an outfit ? They look like a B2B Gallery / Wholesaler / Printer / PR

No amount of investment talk is going to change that. Best of luck UmBongo.A word of advice I don't need advice!.. thanks.. or should I say your jobs worth opinions, I have no intention of staying on a forum with such hideously negative depressing people. There is nothing what so ever good about hearing people off speaking badly of every one .. I left that life at school! but if it keeps you happy! .. now when I find out how to delete this profile I will leave you to rip another unfortunate person to bits with your narrow minded and warped opinions!.. I on the other hand will still be selling art to people who want to buy it and fully intend to make money doing it, sorry If that offends you maybe you should all get a bit more motivation and ambition in your lives to improve it and then maybe you wouldn't have so much time on your hands to spend ripping people to bits and trying to upset them off on here!.. Just a thought! but what do I know I just sell second hand banksy shit art! Wow, I was being polite too. Enough of that bollocks. @charliebrown - Fuck you. Fuck your clients. Fuck your skanky attitude. Don't let the door hit you ion your delicate, thin skinned, dumb arse on the way out. Tarrah.x.

I think this has given us a good understanding about what this place is about and where we want to be, not creating shitload of rules, but more applying the idea this place is about the love of art, not how much $$$'s can be made.
That, and no mention of bam*i :-)
This place can only become what we all put in, so let's talk shitloads about all the art we are addicted to and it'll never become a place based around sales and cash.
